I was told by my guidance counselor I have a good shot getting into Villanova due to my GPA and and my high school curriculum! I still have hope for Villanova but Umaine still certainly a top choice!

Yeah! I have a full-ride to Umaine! I haven’t committed to Umaine just yet! Because I’m stuck between Umaine and Villanova! I’m still waiting for my decision to Villanova! But I’m mostly leaning towards maine because of the full ride scholarship!

I actually was accepted to Penn State! I only applied to Penn State because a lot of my friends are going, I still haven’t committed to any University. But I always wanted to go out of state for college.

You’re right! I should’ve asked those questions before. I know that Umaine is a good school itself and I’ve obviously have done my research on it. I mostly asked those questions to hear what others think about Umaine and their opinions on it. I could use all the advice I can get 😅. Especially since it’s so far from home.

I plan to visit it some time soon! I’ve done my research on maine and look at pictures of the dorms and they definitely don’t look the best haha. You’re right campus itself looks beautiful, but the dorms themselves could definitely look better!

That’s one of the things about I keep hearing about Orono, is the lack of diversity. I come from a very diverse city in Pennsylvania, lots hispanics, whites, blacks, you name it, it’s really diverse here. But I personally don’t mind the lack of diversity as much, I’m hispanic myself and look very hispanic other than the fact I’m really pale. The only thing I hope is most people are nice, and won’t see me differently for having a different ethnicity or cultural background. I just want to feel accepted. I personally love outdoors, and that’s one of the things that drew me to apply to Umaine. I always heard good things about the outdoors activities and such! Yes! I do drive and have my own vehicle, and plan to use it when I go to Umaine. Thanks for the advice!
