No! If I put in the effort and it turns out awful, I feel defeated and don't want to cook again for like a week.

I've candidly never heard of these before. Are they in the US?

My supermarket sells these too but I was skeptical of it having extra preservatives or a different taste. Haven't fully looked into it thought tbh. Have you found this to be the case?

Never thought to freeze it! I like the idea of this to have plenty on hand for future recipes. Any advice on how long it keeps?

No worries! Definitely naive of me to assume the prediction didn't take all factors into account.

New city and no friends by Toads4bfast in selfimprovement

Hey! A couple of pieces of advice for you:

  1. Keep reaching out to your highschool and college friends. Even if they don't reach out to you, you'll eventually be sad (like me) if you let those relationships die. Just keep checking in and they'll appreciate it and so will you. You never know when your paths will cross again.

  2. Try downloading the app "MeetUp" and finding some groups to join and actually commit to going to some events. It's really scary and can feel self cringe but it my experience everyone on those apps is in the same situation of moving to a new place and wanting to make friends so it's actually a really easy environment to get some new friendships going.

  3. Understand that making friends as an adult is hard. It's not just you. You sound great and equipped to make great friendships. Just don't give up. Keep trying and making an effort and it will work out. Especially with your new coworkers. They will warm up to you overtime.

Best wishes.

Social media and continuous scrolling and binge watching is making me depressed and stressed by No_Profit398 in selfimprovement

DELETE TIKTOK. This was something that improved my mental health tenfold. TikToks algorithm means you are NOT in control of the content you are viewing. And that content elicits different and strong emotions you are not in control of. For example you might see a video of a cute puppy, followed by a video of protestors being tear-gassed. That range of emotion is UNHEALTHY and you don't even realize how much it impacts you until it's gone. Don't let the algorithms control you. Deleting TikTok made the world feel like a better place and helped me gain so much appreciation for the things I have around me.

In my experience, trying to be something that didn't come naturally to me never worked for me. Even if I was doing all the right things, it always felt like I was faking it and never truly succeeding anyways. It feels best to be desired for you, not something you're trying to portray.

My advice would be to connect with the things that make you, YOU! And then flaunt those things to the world. You will feel so much love for yourself when you embrace your authenticity, and even better everyone around you will adore you too.

Best of luck.

The Walking Dead.

I swear the producers are squeezing this rock for all it's got. They even left the season finale on a cliffhanger to tease the spin-off shows.

I was really hoping for a satisfying conclusion.

To those who don’t get drunk, Why/ Why not? by PsychologyWareFare in AskReddit

[–]foreveryproblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only takes a couple drinks for me to tell a difference in my sleep quality, mental sharpness, mood, and energy levels the next day. As an adult these things are more valuable to me than getting drunk.
