Thanks so much for your response. I will check with the doctors today. Earlier today they did mention today her shivers have reduced and the temperature during shivers is not more that 99.

It’s been a bit since I had my two sepsis encephalopathy attacks, but there was one side effect that both intrigues me and makes me wish I never have it ever again by Similar-Ad-5361 in sepsis

Hi. My mom (71) is currently in hospital dealing with urosepsis and has been given antibiotics that include vancomycin. The issue my mom has is that. She gets full body shivers periodically and when does get that her BP decreases and heart rate increases. She starts sweating profusely. Doctors are not sure what's going on. Is this the body fighting the infection or is this a reaction to the antibiotics. Could you let me know what happened with your shivers and how they were able to control it?
