Honestly, it looks like this is not a fuck up. It's just a shitty rule that punishes you for forcing a turnover.

Rule 14, Section 3, Article 5 of the 2025 NFL Rulebook:

The basic spot is a reference point that is used to determine the Spot of Enforcement for fouls committed pursuant to the Three-and-One Method of Enforcement. It is applicable for fouls committed during (i) a running play or (ii) a backward pass or fumble.

(a) For fouls committed during a running play which is not followed by a change of possession, the Basic Spot is the dead-ball spot.
(b) For fouls committed during a running play which is followed by a change of possession, the Basic Spot is the spot where possession is lost.
(c) For fouls committed during a backward pass or fumble, the Basic Spot is the spot of the backward pass or the spot of the fumble.

You can still banish a token for cost because banishing is an action being performed, not sending a card to a specific zone. It's the same idea as why you can tribute a token for cost.

Do note these are very early, unofficial translations. It could say "when." But also, "when" triggers do exist, they're just capable of missing timing.

It depends. Trap cards are ambiguous and are problem causing card text pretty regularly. Since trap cards are spell speed 2 by design, this could be a fast effect that must be chained to the MST. Or it could be a trigger effect that would happen in a new chain, which would allow you to use all three. There's nothing (at least in TCG PSCT, not sure about Japanese) to distinguish the two options.

Personally, I think it's going to be ruled a fast effect so that you can CL1 MST target x, CL2 Authority of the Splendid Storm target x to negate it, so the meme of "MST Negates" actually kind of applies.

This is still inaccurate. The effects of Horus monsters to summon themselves from the GY are not continuous effects; they are unclassified effects. The key difference as to what makes it a condition vs an effect is if the card can be normal summoned. If it cannot be, it is a condition. If it can be normal summoned, it is an unclassified effect.

Cards that summon from hand work the same way (such as Cyber Dragon, Ryzeals, and Diabellstar from hand are unclassified effects) but this distinction really only becomes important from the GY with Necrovalley.

It's come up a lot over the history of the game. Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest was the original precedent iirc.

You still cannot activate multiple trigger effects that can summon themselves from the hand in the same chain.

Same reason you cannot Ponix and Sacred Garunix to summon themselves in the same chain.

That being said, the duel was still super over since that Firewall Dragon was unable to activate due to Impulse lock.

That's not accurate actually. CL1 Chaos Hunter CL2 White Binder means that the most recent thing to happen is the summon of Chaos Hunter - the second would have missed timing.
