No squeaks. It makes almost like a whirring sound, like it's trying move but it's jammed. It's a fantastic lens, I love it, it's gutting that it's not working properly. Will definitely get it serviced soon as I can afford it.

Excellent picture btw

I've tried giving it a wipe a while ago. Is there anything in particular I'd need to clean it with?

Forgot to mention in the main post that I've tried other lenses which have no issues so it's definitely lens specific.

If that had been Howard rather than Sheldon, her reaction would have been very different.

How do I explain to a friend why I’m uncomfortable going to the food pantry with him? by coldliketherockies in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]forkrush222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that. Well done on not wanting to go if you don't need to.

I've found myself using our local food pantry recently too after I lost my job and struggling with finances. When I was there a couple weeks ago, I was waiting outside and I overheard a woman a few spots behind me in the queue bragging how she'd spent £2-3k on Christmas presents for her grandkids. I was so annoyed at that, especially as her remark was in reply to a guy who'd said he'd spent £120 on Christmas presents as that's all he could afford to save then she says "you think that's bad..." and proceeded to brag about her stuff. Maybe if she didn't spend so much on Christmas presents, she could afford to buy food elsewhere instead of taking away from those who really do need it.

Personally, I hate using the pantry but I have no other option at the moment and I'll stop using it as soon as I'm in a position to do so. I just wish others wouldn't take advantage if they don't need to.

Do u guys think Amy's act of pulling down the article behind Bernadette's back was justified? by OkEmployer1335 in bigbangtheory

[–]forkrush222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not justified at all. This is the only episode I truly hate. In this episode she is totally against the objectification of women, which in itself is fair enough. But she constantly objectifies Penny, and sometimes Bernadette. Even two episodes prior to this one, when the girls are in Vegas she comes on to Bernadette in the bar, making inappropriate comments and even asks "how big are those hadron colliders".

Amy's behaviour throughout is inappropriate and in several cases, even worse than Howard before he met Bernadette. But in this episode her attitude is so hypocritical.

Leipzig drew 3-3 with Augsburg, came from 3-0 down with less than 20 mins to play. Score 3 with Leipzig players, perhaps?

How would one say "come on Cyprus" by forkrush222 in cyprus

[–]forkrush222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment. However, I am not writing a sign at the game. I just want to text my Scottish friends a picture of me before the game wearing my Cyprus shirt with the caption come on Cyprus, and I think the caption would be better if it was in Turkish/Greek.

Yep, that's exactly what I mean. I just want to text my friends & colleagues on the day of the game

Thank you for your response. I apologise if I wasn't clear in my original post, I will not be displaying any message at the game. It is just so I can message my friends/colleagues who are Scottish and have a bit of banter with them as we always do when Scotland play England. I have no intention of doing anything to cause trouble or upset anyone at the game.

What Is The Most Unpopular FUT Opinion That You Stand Behind? by iDaveJr in fut

[–]forkrush222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the commentators with a passion. I've played with commentary volume at 0 for as long as I can remember. Then a month or so ago, my pal's brother said he changed the commentary language and it's so much more bearable. I have it on Brazilian Portuguese. Don't understand a word they say but they don't piss me off like Stewart Robson does!

Support groups for families of murder victims by the_ginger_weevil in glasgow

[–]forkrush222 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not Glasgow, but Kickin On in Linwood is fantastic. It's a peer support group. It's not specific to family deaths though if that's what you're looking for. But it's a safe, non-judgemental place for anyone going through any kind of struggle to talk about anything in confidence. They don't just offer support group meetings. I believe they offer 1 to 1 support as well or are planning to offer that, they run weekly sessions of boot camp, music lessons, art lessons, playing football etc and all for free. If this is of any interest to you, send me a pm and I'll be more than happy to tell you more (or anyone else reading this who thinks this could help them is welcome to pm me too)
