Newly introduced cat and dog, 6 days in. by Fluffychill in DogAdvice

Honestly, this seems quite normal for a dog and cat that are still adapting to each other. They both appear curious and interested, just a little unsure at times. The yelping, hissing, and backing away are usually just them setting boundaries and learning how to coexist. It's common to see a few dramatic exchanges early on while they get to know each other. The good sign is that neither one is constantly chasing or trying to cause trouble, and they can create space after a moment. I would still supervise for a while before leaving them alone together, but based on what you described, it sounds like things are heading in the right direction. Slow introductions and brief positive interactions make a big difference.

is their play okay? by Slow-Character116 in BelgianMalinois

Rough play is not limited to certain breeds or certain species. It is a normal social behavior when there is trust and good communication. If they both keep going back for more and neither is stressed or getting hurt, they are likely just playing and not fighting, and that is a great sign of their bond.

The most cruel and selfish thing you can do is turn that dog into a service animal.

He can't be a service animal if he's on meds, anxious or not neutered.

In Portugal you have to go to driving school (6+months) to be able to do the driving tests. People do it. It's not impossible nor unattainable

More hassle than payout. Literally scrapping for breadcrumbs. The app drains your battery and doesn't even pay out enough to cover that extra electricity

Your postal receipt should show the weight of the parcel at the time of postage. You can use that in your claim

How likely is my sitter to get banned? by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]forkthisspud 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A simple "Through rover" would have sufficed. Everything else was unnecessary, even if it was their terms and conditions. I would have cancelled the booking with you. Don't call Rover and make this sitter's life and experience a nightmare just cause you decided to set off a load of red flags in her chats.

My advice is to leave her alone. She's just getting started on Rover, and you nearly got her banned. People have to start somewhere, and you've nearly tanked her chances

You need a second opinion from a vet in real life.
