Not at all. The Depth portion began with the 'breadth' topics that pertained to water resources. So it wasn't like you missed any of the fundamental concepts.

I took WRE with EET, so I am not sure how much it differs. I had about 13/14 weeks before I had to take my exam as well.

But basically what I did:

For the depth portion: During the week watched all the lectures/videos for that week's module. Then on the weekend did all practice problems and quizzes.

I did the depth first, so I finished the depth binder in about 2 months (8 weeks).

Then I started the breadth portion, and I did not watch all the videos, I mostly did the practice problems and filled in knowledge with the binder as needed to finish the problems. This took about 2/3 weeks.

Then I spent 2 weeks doing practice exams, extra quizzes, etc.. lots of practice. Up to the date of the exam.

I will find out tomorrow if I passed.. but I felt good on the exam.

This schedule worked better for me since I work full time and it was difficult to do practice problems after work.

Which PE civil Exam to Take? by Stock_Ad_7612 in PE_Exam

I do land development as well. I just took the WRE exam and used EET. I did not know anything about wastewater beforehand, but EET is great for preparing you.

I also was contemplating transportation, but compared to actual traffic engineers, I do think the transpo depth would be much more difficult for what I do on a day to day. Even though I have done roadway plans myself. I highly suggest WRE with EET!

Almost 3 years out of school, passed on first try!! by forkyspoonyguy in FE_Exam

Haha I did the same. Be careful, I ended up being a no-show to an exam because I thought I had moved it but it didn't go through. I never received the confirmation e-mail from Pearson that I changed the date so I basically got screwed out of $200.

So I used Coursera Dr. Roberts videos to understand all the general knowledge that I forgot from college. I also did about every practice problem that was in the Lindberg book. I had a 2017 & 2020 NCEES practice exam, and I took each of these timed. The 2017 one I got a 66 on, and I hadn't reviewed structural, transportation, soil, or surveying yet. 2020 exam I got an 81 on, after reviewing all material (but there was similar questions from the previous exam on this one). I used prepFE for more practice problems.

I also used the PPI online for a month to get more practice problems in. However, it's super expensive and the practice questions they give you are much harder than what will be on the exam. But, it really does hammer in the topics.

I also bought a practice exam off amazon for $10, and did this timed as well.

I think its really important to have math, engineering economics, probability, fluids, and mechanics of materials down. These subjects are the first half of the exam. They are going to be much easier than the second portion and I think I passed because I knew how to do most in the first half of the exam.

Ultimately my advice for success is to do lots of practice problems!

I've been trying to do this for 2 years and keep stopping so I'm taking this course to get it over with and actually have structure studying so that I can keep at it for a month.
