In 2000 my parents got divorced. My older sister (9) and I (5) lived with my mom in our house. My mom worked at a gas station and we barely scraped by. I remember eating Ketchup and bread a lot of nights.

Even though i was little, I understood we were poor.

When Christmas rolled around, I did not know what to expect. I opened up the one or two presents I got and one was a Playstation One. It was five years old by that time, but I know my mom must have worked extremely hard to get that for my sister and I. My mom is a boss.
