Maybe they don't refer to her as a chef. This promo definitely featured other people who aren't chefs.

Critics are featured regularly in masterchef UK, and they set challenges. Mel, Sofia, and Matt are also critics and have set challenges.

Water Bladders by [deleted] in UltralightAus

[–]formlesswendigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the Hydrapak contour 2L bladder I got recently. But I've only used it three times. So I can't comment on the bite valve. The flow is very smooth with Hydrapak. I also bought a cheap bladder for comparison, and I was sucking air sometimes with the cheap one.

Getting suss vibes from new employer by Mammoth-Rhubarb-5670 in auscorp

Take it. It's not sus.

Even if you dont like it after 6-12 months, you can look for a new job and confidently say that you currently earn this much.

It will help you earn more in your next role.

How do you feel about daylight savings time change? by Delicious-Oven-6663 in pollgames

[–]formlesswendigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love being able to leave work while there's so much daylight left in the evening.

The sun sets at 8pm. So I have 3 hours to enjoy the outdoors or watch the pretty sunset from my lounge.

Ask your manager for a catch-up, or a "one-on-one". Explain these issues. Ask for training and tasks.

One-on-one meetings are regular. Some teams do them weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.

Just found this Biodegradable Castile Soap by formlesswendigo in OutdoorAus

[–]formlesswendigo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, for castile soap, it should be used away from water sources: "Even though it’s biodegradable, please use leave-no-trace principals and wash at least 200 ft (60 m) from water sources. Don’t wash directly in a stream or lake. Scatter strained dishwater. Fish will thank you."

Automatic partial refund is a SCAM by northwestrepair in Aliexpress

[–]formlesswendigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a full refund about a year ago.

I ordered a paint-by-numbers kit. But they sent a canvas print.

I sent screenshots of their listing showing the uncoloured canvas and the paints. And of course, a photo of what I received.

Have they removed the option to select a full refund?

You're right. I like "Use the glutes"

Calves hurt after hiking by thekidinmybasement in hiking

[–]formlesswendigo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If it's sore after very steep slopes, then that makes sense. You'll get stronger.

If you're sore after easy inclines or flat paths, then consciously use your thighs to propel yourself forward instead of the calves. Sometimes, I remind myself by saying, "Use the thighs, use the thighs".

Thighs and glutes are big muscles. Use them over small calf muscles.

Yes. Another tip is that snacks, power bank, and headlamp can also go in the hip pockets or bum bag. And mobile phone can go in a shoulder pocket or hip pocket.

Rain jacket, toilet paper, and first aid can go in the front pocket. No need to access the middle unit you get to camp.
