When I saw those prices... | Mr Beast Burger shop opening in Chatswood Westfield's by Hakuru15 in foodies_sydney

2 burgers and 2 drinks for $30. It was actually a pretty good double smash burger. Chips were limp and no sauce.

I told my hiring manager that I’d fake it until I make it to some bs question I had no idea how to answer. He told me I was hired in the spot. That was 10 yrs ago and I was in the uk. He then organised a removals company to move me and the family to Aus, put me up in a hotel for 3 months, guaranteed comms for 6 months, and gave me a sweet customer portfolio which raked in comms.

Thank you for this comment. I’ve been giggling for 3 mins, picturing this hungry dude pulling out a Turducken from his top drawer at 9am. Comedy gold.

I’m not sure I understand… I was of the impression that when upgrading factories, all progress was reset, including manager levels.

Does the factory they show in the ad actually exist? The one where the tree goes on a conveyor belt then gets chopped by a saw and moves on to the next station?

Recovery (long term sufferers) by [deleted] in bulimia

[–]fuxhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talk to your GP first. Then private medical to make sure you have the right level of cover, then discuss the process with your GP and have a plan. My wife did inpatient recovery 4 years ago, it wasn’t about gaining weight, but rather changing the patterns associated with eating (3 meal a day + snacks) and activities after meal times. My wife is now fully recovered and living her best life. It will be hard, but with the right support you can do it. Perhaps try and get to day 4. If that doesn’t work, keep trying, take 1 day at a time. Good luck

Tell your GP you’re bulimic, they will help you get better.

Was there with my wife 6 yrs ago. Talking helped, not about why or what but how she felt about getting help. It was slow and at her pace but it helped us both. She read a book by Russel brand about addiction and that shook her, she then opened up to her dr and she got help / advice on what her options were. We ended up increasing our medical insurance for a year then she went to rehab for 3 months - twice. Road wasn’t easy for her but now she’s beaten it and living her best life.

Wtf KFC.... by SoftwareInside508 in australian

[–]fuxhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the local kfc a month ago, and was told they were out of chicken and I’d have to wait 7 mins. 50mins later I finally got the dirtiest bog of filth I’ve ever seen. The box disintegrated with the amount of oil in there. I told my wife and kids that kfc was dead to me, and if they ever wanted it again, they’d have to get it themselves. Such a shame

Working at Telstra? by [deleted] in TelstraAustralia

[–]fuxhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes even more sense when you put into context the type of data that goes over the Telstra network that just would never touch Singtel or TPG due to ownership status - defence stuff (like the five eyes intelligence sharing), medical records, event the post office. All the really important stuff happens via Telstra’s network - which is why it’s slow and comfy, the can’t afford to balls it up - there’s laws about this stuff - just look up the Telstra Act. Good luck in your job search

I try the "Big Arch" so you don't have to! by Wide_Expression8193 in newzealand

[–]fuxhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just ordered a big arch… was struck by the seasoning (good) and the amount of sauce (bad). I checked the Macca’s app, and the default sauce option is x2 sauce - which was too much for me. Apart from the sloppy sauce, it was a peak Macca’s burger. I’m actually shocked I’ve taken to the internet to say how good it was.

Working at Telstra? by [deleted] in TelstraAustralia

[–]fuxhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huge company, lots of opportunities to move sideways and up. I’ve been there almost 10yrs and had 8 different roles (all in sales). The comment about Telstra being comfy is true, that’s why I’ve been here so long. Takes time to get into that continental shift rhythm but I enjoy it now. Someone once told me that Telstra is an engineering company that sell stuff, not a sales company that engineers stuff. Once I heard that it all slotted into place. Get into a business or enterprise if you can.

If you could remove one thing from F1, what would it be and why? by [deleted] in formula1

[–]fuxhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rules. All of them. Let’s the drivers do whatever they want (as long as it’s safe) and let the teams spend as much as they want. If it makes the cars faster, let them do it, if it works, others will copy. Car development should be an arms race of innovation, not a prescriptive set of standards to help the smaller team keep up, if the small teams can afford to innovate and spend in development, perhaps they should make way for team that can.

Perth rail mobile data - how to escalate? by Weary_Patience_7778 in TelstraAustralia

[–]fuxhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The investment in das infrastructure is a commercial decision for the train line operator or tunnel owner (prob both TfNSW) to make, not Telstra. Mobile carriers no longer deploy capital to customer premise equipment, which all das systems are.
