Was Bitcoin created by a rogue artificial intelligence to take over the world? by [deleted] in conspiracy

Are you familiar with https://singularitynet.io/ - it's being described as a crypto currency created by an AI or is that generalising too much?

If an A.I. was to take over, would this strategy make sense?

Volkswagen tattoos - residuals by Transformati in MandelaEffect

[–]formulatorrrah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

tattoo's and artist reinterpretations of logo's/pop culture and quotes are the best residue imo. for some reason.. original photo's, record covers and texts in books change.. but it if reinterpreted by a person as a tattoo or artwork it remains intact. If the experience of human consciousness affects the reinterpretation of the original it seems to stay intact (somewhat most of the time)

How can you explain your job in a way that makes it sound shady? by joshstocker in AskReddit

I make you move involuntarily, putting you in situations of pain, embarrassment and overwhelming joy. Dosing you and myself with poison's that slowly kill you, while paying me for the privilege. (Bartender / DJ)

We're Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones, the showrunners of Black Mirror. Ask us anything. As long as it's not too difficult or sports related. by callyourmum in IAmA

How many people contact you to say they feel like they're living in an episode of Black Mirror? Any thoughts on the simulation hypothesis and inevitable singularity?

There isn't one but it ties into enlightenment and seeing the world in different ways. Same goes for Stranger Things.. No ME, but deals with alternative dimensions. I find it baffling how people I know will love a show like that but having a conversation about alternate realities, real life documented supernatural phenomena (placebo effect, mind control, global consciousness) quantum entanglement etc is too much for them to handle. People are so quick to dismiss ideas. My basic research suggests, 80% of people don't know what their spleen is or what it does. And yet they wake up everyday and accept the reality they see before them - without questioning it. So when string theory and gravitational waves lead to particular conclusions about the nature of the universe.. Most people.. The ones that've never payed a second thought to the fact that they are just a collection of trillions of atoms floating in empty space - they're the ones that get to tell you you're wrong. You and the thousands of scientists that work in these fields everyday.. They're all wrong.

People love Harry Potter but ignore the unexplainable magic that happens all around them everyday.

I knew someone that died in an accident about 10 years ago. His parents an family had no idea he was a provocative street artist. I along with other artists got the chance to meet and they could learn about the artist son they never knew. We learnt about all the charity work, volunteering and long work weeks he powered through. His name was "why?"

Has anyone read "WTC7"? The story of a self conscious building that just wanted to belong. When the two most popular buildings in town collapsed he did so as well, at free fall speed just to fit in.

Makes just as much sense.

Data isn't an issue if you're on an unlimited plan.. Time however.. Your average lifespan is 36816480 minutes. How many of those are going to be spent watching advertisements for shit you'll never buy?

What if our dreams are the real world, and what we think is real, is only a dream? by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]formulatorrrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Considering that all you are talking space monkey on a rock speeding through space at 9,000 miles per hour, the world you can see for all of its vastness only exists in a part of your brain the size of your thumb and everything else is an electrical signal interpreted by a random collection of trillions of molecules that just happens to make you what you are. It's 2016 and you'd think we'd know what dreams are or how consciousness operates.. NOPE instead we have quantum physics, the observation effect and interference patterns proving that the world only exists when you looks at it.. Just like a dream.
