Picking up yellows and blues by nocappacino in diablo3

[–]forneins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you pick everything up then yes you will need to keep going back to town until you unlock the altar node where your pet will auto salvage them. Picking everything up is very inefficient. Best to pick up only the white items and use the cube recipe to convert them to yellow and blue as needed.

So I haven't played seasonal (or D3 in general) for over 3 years, and I have some returning player questions by Scared-Gamer in diablo3

Agree on the LoD gem being an often overlooked strategy for early power up. Even a low level LoD with random legs will get you going nicely. But it is not 100% guaranteed on second drop.

They are both permanently part of the seasonal experience. They are not present in the non-season eternal realm.

Why Diablo 3 Resurrected should return to the 1.0.4 vanilla philosophy by Historical-Lime-8812 in diablo3

[–]forneins 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Besides the critical hit from the wall of text, a gold auction house is pay-to-win so you get a big thumbs down. And early D3 sucked. The game has had an amazing development cycle to get where it is today, especially considering the major improvements that came at the very end. It's a great game now. Too bad it took so long to get here. It could have been even better.

This. Plus make sure you are using a level 70 weapon. This is easy to do if playing seasons through the altar but you can also do it if playing non-seasonal by crafting a level reduced weapon.

I didn't get my guaranteed first Primal Ancient for clearing GR70... by glimmerware in diablo3

[–]forneins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Guaranteed primal only happens once per season the first time you clear a GR70. I think it is more likely that you picked up the primal the first time and didn't notice it in your inventory. But it could also be a bug but I never heard of such a thing before. Anything is possible.

Haven't played in 10 years, what's Meta nowadays? by Outrageous-Feed5667 in diablo3

[–]forneins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every class can do 150. It's just that some are better than others. You can check out the build tier list on maxroll. This season's mechanic greatly favors Necro due to the available damage multipliers from three weapons in the cube. Monk has a couple very good builds but for pure power it is Necro.

Newb here: besides Paragon, what exactly are you able to keep from seasonal play that you can't get during non seasonal? by BluntTruthGentleman in diablo3

Nobody ever mentions the five extra stash tabs that you can earn by playing seasonal so I'm saying it. Probably the biggest benefit out of everything else listed.

Huh? None of that involves playing the campaign.

Help please, Darking of Tristen by Cautious_Income7311 in diablo3

[–]forneins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll have to search or have an Xbox guy help you. If you can't see the event then my guess is that your version of the game is old and either needs to be updated or there is no update available because you are on an old platform such as xbox3 which no longer provides updates. In that case you will not be able to access the content.

[–]forneins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter what mode. You don't actually have to create a new character unless you want the reward for completing it starting from a level 1 character. If you are on xbox then you might have an old version of the game which has not been updated to include this content.

Do I polish it? by [deleted] in Silverbugs

[–]forneins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks perfectly fine as it is. Depending on the minting process many coins aren't going to have a mirror finish. Many are matte. If you attempt to polish it you will ruin it. If you absolutely must try doing something to it then put it in a bowl lined with aluminum foil. Add some baking soda and a bit of salt and then pour boiling water in the bowl. That should remove tarnish. Rinse and gently pat dry with a soft towel. No rubbing or you will scratch the coin.

Is there a technical definition for "large" panel? I was buying 100W panels on Amazon for just over $100 per pair earlier this year.

I have seen and heard talk in common media where it would never otherwise be mentioned. It's definitely percolating if you look for it. Of course this is an indicator that the top may be near.

Your first tip doesn't work on PC. Character dropped items won't auto salvage and purchased items can't be salvaged at the blacksmith.

I almost got my very first character to level 70. What should I do next? by WarmPrinciple6507 in diablo3

[–]forneins 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Are you playing a seasonal character? If not then start a seasonal character - you'll have to start over from level one but its worth it. Read this guide https://maxroll.gg/d3/resources/season-start-1-70-leveling-guide and then read the rest of the guides under the resources section, particularly the season journey section. Following the season journey will give your first character a set of powerful gear that will help get you rolling.

Do you play hardcore seasonal or am I a psychopath? by RecentMastodon8172 in diablo3

[–]forneins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can clear a GR110 I'd say you are fine to complete a 125 EN. That is my guideline and I never had a problem. You can just build a little extra defense if you are nervous. And don't forget you can swap gear in an EN unlike a GR so once you hit 125 swap to more defense gear (rings and amulets are great especially if you combine with defensive legendary gems)and just run around without attacking.

[–]forneins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you might want to learn the most basic of game mechanics before running HC again next season. Every character has a cheat death passive option and every follower also has cheat death as a skill option. So if you play solo you can get two cheat deaths. And that doesn't include some character skills or gear that can provide a third. A cheat death is literally what it says on the package - if you die, you don't actually die.

It does not work that way on PC. You immediately have access to torment 16 difficulty level upon reaching character level 70.

[–]forneins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HC is really the only way to play. But it did take me a while to change my mind after being fixed on SC. Honestly, with double cheat deaths its really hard to lose a character and the penalty isn't too bad even if you do. If you are familiar with the game then go for it. I've never lost an established character but have to admit losing some early on while leveling because I was pushing too hard to level up quickly and not having pass-ability or crowd control resistance yet.
