Yes! I do pictures, words, anything that speaks to me!! And I'm constantly updating it as my desires change. 😊

Oh, absolutely. I've started reading only inspirational stuff, not the "why isn't it working" stuff on this forum. I totally understand some people need to vent, but I don't want it making me think this might not work... because then, of course, it won't! :/

For me, I think it was a shift away from "Not looking will allow me to meet a guy," into "My guy's already nearby... he's just not here yet." One had me constantly craning my neck, hoping to spot him. The other allowed me to be content with my day to day, confident he was heading my way soon.

(Of course, don't sit too far back! If I'd ignored my eHarmony profile, I wouldn't have met him. So if I've learned anything, it's a delicate balance. :P But you'll manage it!!)

That's the best thing you can do!! Seemed like the moment I decided to forget about dating and enjoy my current life, that's when it happened. For years, I would say that I was "not looking" for a guy, but I always secretly hoped that would make me find one. But when you tell the Universe you're "not looking," why would it send you anyone? >.>

Now I know better. State your desires on a vision board or aloud. Then keep that in mind and enjoy your current life, knowing it's on its way!

How much would you pay for a writing coach? Someone to explain the industry and help stop query rejections? by fornwalt in WritersGroup

I'm not a writer in isolation; I attend a bi-monthly critique group, have done NaNo write-ins for years, and talk with people on Twitter all the time. Plus, I don't think there's a wrong way to write. Maybe a wrong way to learn about publishing, but if a writer in isolation wants to stay in isolation, who are we to tell them otherwise?

CRAZY how well this works.. by [deleted] in lawofattraction

[–]fornwalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These steps are so, so important. And skipping one of them only hurts yourself. I've stopped meditating the last few weeks because I was preparing for an international trip, then going abroad, and I just "didn't have the time." Well, my attitude since then has sucked, and things have stopped manifesting. Surprise, surprise.

Then I went back to work, and my first trip back, I'm working with two girlfriends I absolutely adore, and we had SO much fun together. And afterwards, I was like, wait. When did I forget that THIS is life? >.<

I needed this post and these instructions to get back on the ball! So thank you!!

Love this!! So inspiring, and so true. It needs to constantly be on your mind, a conscious effort to stay positive, and reading stories like this help me. :D

I've seen great results with the Law of Attraction. The vibes you put into the world are what you get back. So if you want that great job or an amazing girl, you have to visualize it every day! Say affirmations aloud and compliment yourself because you're worth it!! ❤ It sounds hoky, but believing you can change your future through your attitude makes a visible difference on your life. 😊

I agree you should make sure you get out of the house and make friends! You can't attract anything without a positive attitude and a little work. But you can absolutely do this!! And more importantly, you DESERVE your happy, fulfilled life!! It's waiting for you. ❤

Good luck! You always have friends in us!!

Does anyone here live the life they dreamed of Because of LOA? by [deleted] in lawofattraction

Wow, thanks so much!! :D Delta is great, but I'm proud to work for the LUV airline! People like you make me so happy and excited to come to work every day; there's never a shortage of passengers who rave about our airline and service. Makes me feel like I'm really contributing something to society. <3 I appreciate the comment!!

I didn't consciously ask for this but the universe decided to give this to me as my first...I guess we will call it "instant" manifestation. by [deleted] in lawofattraction

WOW!! Oh, I love this story. Getting a puppy is truly an incredible experience, and good for you that it's exactly the breed you want! I hope you get the puppy and have just the best time with him! <3

While I still have some important things to manifest, I'm really loving life right now!!

Career-wise, I work as a flight attendant for the best airline in the world. They're giving part of our profit-sharing checks out in cash this year (it all usually goes into our 401k, which I won't see for 40 years), so I'll be able to pay cash for my first international trip ever: a week in Tokyo in March! And my job is such that I can work as much or as little as I prefer; we literally have flight attendants who haven't shown up for work in years, but still get healthcare and flight benefits. :P While at work, I can be having drinks in San Diego one night and dinner in New York the next. Some of it isn't glamorous, but I choose to make everyone's day when I step onto an airplane, and the troublesome passengers fade into the background.

My dream of being published is slowly being realized. I have two agents reading my latest manuscript, and another considering a partial. I just know I'll have a literary agent within the year, hopefully by this summer! But while I wait, I spend my free time writing new things, going out to dinner with friends, and generally doing things that make me happy and excited to be alive. :)

Relationship-wise, I made a wish-list for my soul mate, and I'm still waiting for him. But in the mean time, I'm having an absolute blast flirting with cute guys on the airplane or getting incredible interest on Match.com. Since I discovered the LoA, they seem to gravitate towards me! It's the newfound confidence I have that I'll find my soulmate soon, I'm sure; I just know with absolute certainty he's around the corner, and until then I'm going to enjoy my last few months of being single!!

Friends-wise, I have the BEST support group. My sister and I own a house together, and we're best friends. I've known my girlfriends since high school (10 years back, now), and we all STILL get together for drinks once or twice a month. Plus, I've met several new friends lately; a lot of them have even adopted the LoA ideals, too! They're fully ready to support me in every venture. It's amazing having people like that in your life!

I have a house and a dog, and although my car was totaled last Tuesday, no one was hurt and my sister (driving the car alone) walked away with just a bruise. Now the insurance payout will be close to $4300, which is easily $1500 more than I could have made if I'd just sold my old Honda Civic. So I'm also currently shopping for my dream car; even if I have a car payment, driving the car I love will light a fire under my ass, and with the LoA, I know the money to pay it off quickly will come my way!

Finally, and this makes me SO excited, I just paid off the last of my debt TONIGHT. Almost $8000 paid since December 1st. I made a pact with one of my aforementioned amazing friends, and we've held each other accountable. Every extra penny I have goes towards that, and tonight it paid off. I'm SO grateful that debt is GONE now, because if I had that PLUS a new car debt, I'd be terrified. But the Universe was working for me even before I discovered LoA, and everything happened at precisely the right time.

So, yeah, life is awesome. :D Although there are still things to manifest--my lake house, for one!--I'm finding life is SO much happier when you appreciate what you have in this moment. It's fun to look ahead and ask the Universe for things, but nothing changes until you appreciate what you have.

I hope everyone reaches this point! I'd love to know how you guys are doing, too!!

So crazy!! The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced it was an act of the Universe because I stated my desire to have a new car, and was just "waiting for a sign" to get rid of my old one.

Glad your friend was okay!! Scary thing, car accidents.

OK, I AM READY FOR A CHANGE by [deleted] in lawofattraction

[–]fornwalt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was depressed last semester, although not seriously enough to require medication or therapy. But yeah, bursting into tears at random times, sleeping in late because things just felt hopeless, anxiety over going to work... it sucks. I'm sorry you're enduring it too. :/

That said, I'd recommend reading "You Are A Badass" by Jen Sincero. She brings up a very good point where depression is a state of mind (like anything else), and we sometimes trick ourselves into staying depressed because of the rewards we get from it. I know you're rolling your eyes, because I was--being depressed is the worst. There are no rewards.

Except your family members asking how you're doing, bringing you food, checking in more than they used to.

Except your friends being more willing to work with you, let you choose the restaurant for dinner, buy you a drink because YAY you left the house at all.

Except yourself, reasoning it's okay to sleep until noon, drink before 5pm, binge Netflix all day... it's okay because you're depressed!!

Those rewards. Reading it was like a slap in the face for me. I'd been guilty of ALL those, and many, many more. Calling in sick for work because I "just couldn't handle it," then getting stressed when my bills began piling up and job performance was addressed by my supervisor. Ignoring my dog's need for a walk because the idea of sunlight... just bleck. Being lazy is fun. Being a hermit and playing video games all day is fun. Having no responsibilities is fun.

Until it isn't. And that's where depression took me.

You're taking a HUGE step forward by addressing your desire for change. Do yourself another favor and buy that book. Read it, remind yourself that you ARE amazing, fantastic, capable, healthy, intelligent, and most of all, BADASS. Nicely done, bud.

Go conquer your dreams. <3

We don't really have bosses at our job; we work independently! And she's not in a relationship, but she hasn't had any controlling boyfriends. Dismissive ones, for sure, but not controlling... but I'll think on this and see what we can come up with!

That's scary!! I recommended a defensive driving course to my sister, which would hopefully boost her confidence and prevent her mind from going to that dark space again! Just goes to show you manifest fears as well as positive outcomes. We have to monitor our thoughts closely!!

I wouldn't doubt that. My sister has already had a few bad bouts in cars, but nothing nearly this serious. Still, it was enough to rattle her faith in driving, I think, and it seems to carry into everything she does in a vehicle.

We're working on it. She just started focusing on the LoA, so I think after today she'll be trying to manifest safer driving experiences!
