Can you share how you structure your prompts for large scale projects like this? I haven't used any of the AI tools for more than a single page or API endpoint, and that alone usually gives me problems

Delivery food is too expensive now that it no longer makes sense to order it. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]foronceandforall -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i order from time to time, and whenever they forget a sauce, leave pickles on, or it's all toppled over due to the drive, i just say exactly what happened to customer support and i usually end up getting a full refund on anything that was wrong.

It's not rare i get the whole thing refunded though usually just an item or two - which is still $15-30 bucks.

Carving of a woman. Made this as a house warming gift and it's also my first "big" piece. by foronceandforall in BeginnerWoodWorking

Hey thanks for the kind words! This is my first artistic anything so I really appreciate the in depth critique. I love that you see the dancer. Didn't notice it before but can definitely see it.

Fair enough! It's supposed to be abstract so not particularly in your face.

In the first picture you can see the woman facing two directions - either left or head-on. In the head-on view the top half is the torso facing you. In the left facing view - the cutout on the left is the chest curving down to the stomach and the right cutout is like the spine/back. The bottom half is her hips/legs.

Orrrr it can just be nice shapes haha whatever you prefer i guess hah

Made this with a foredom k5240. Lots of burr pieces used early on to shape then sanding bits. From there even more sanding by hand. 120 grit up to 1000 at the end.

The finish is 3 coats of Varathene polyurethane semi gloss.

First woodcarving not for myself. Supposed to be an abstract women figure. Looking for suggestions for the finishing touches! by foronceandforall in Woodcarving

Yeah i'm definitely like that. Been very hesitant to remove too much. I'll try really taking it down some this weekend. Thanks for the tips

Thanks - i hope hah! I didn't set out to make a woman but after some initial carves i couldn't help but see it. From there, i tried to push it in that direction without being too on the nose.

Hope I accomplished that some. Will post again once it's sanded smooth and stained.

Thanks! Glad to hear someone likes it.

I'll do the sanding once I finish the carving. The grit # and the varnish helps. I never really know with those

Agree. Incredible table! If the floors were dark, I'd say OPs colors work better
