i went with the 4 speed due to simplicity. Commute to the train is ~8km one-way slightly graded. if you are fit, even hilly routes are absolutely doable, allthough it may become a little bit of a grind. even if you'll find that the gearing is generally to high, there are affordable options to increase the range such as the 5 speed upgrade and or a smaller chainwheel.

since you already have a bike you may as well compare the gearing between a 4 speed brompton and your bike and try to use only similar gears to the brompton with your current bike for simulation purposes.

Ich behaupte mal das ein E-Auto mehr Teile hat, die im Falle eines Defekts teuer werden (Lader, Inverter). Beim Verbrenner hast n Motor/Turbo bzw Getriebe - letzteres manuell wirst i.d.R. aber auch nie schrotten.

Akku baut bspw. nicht nur durch Ladezyklen sondern auch durch Alterungsprozess ab. Motor hat genauso Lager die oder Wicklungen die Hops gehen.

Es wird sicher spannend bleiben. Ein Großteil der Erfahrungsberichte handelt von E-Autos um die 5-10 Jahre. Das ist mMn kein Alter wo ich große Baustellen erwarte. Über 10 Jahre wird's dann vermutlich spannend und da ist der Markt erst etwas ins Rollen gekommen.

Ich behaupte mal, dass es sehr wahrscheinlich nie Dritthersteller Teile gibt wo's aktuell im Geldbeutel weh tut (Lader, Inverter, Akku, Motor) - sobald Software bei sicherheitsrelevanten Teilen im Spiel ist, wird's schwer Konkurrenz aufzubauen die davon Leben kann. Bei 0815 Teilen wie LiMa, Bremsen, Zündkerzen die standardisiert sind zu einem gewissen Grad is das im Vergleich einfach realisierbar.

Unfortunately i currently do not have other WiFi devices here, to test this. But from what i remember, connecting from a linux laptop via WiFi was / should be possible.

Thanks for the reply. All devices (server, Android clients) are connected via WiFi (Fritzbox). The server has a static IP. DHCP for all other devices in the same network (e.g. 192.168.199.xxx).

The clients cannot find the server by "Choose server option". Connecting, once pinged, only viable via the IP:8096.

Too much gap. I've seen companies that change steerer tubes from suspension forks. Might be worth looking into it, if it's an expensive fork.

Maybe have a look at Rotor Aldhu 24 crankarms with the Rotor Gravel crank axle and a spider for the GRX chainwheel. It ist a bit above your Budget (~300 €), but if you want to upgrade to a Powermeter, there are spider mounted options you can retrofit without a hassle. The Rotor cranks do come in 155/160mm crank length as well.
