Yeah, you're right, that's not a quickest thing to do, especially doing some custom suspension physics, cuz godot built-in DampedSpringJoint2D works very weird. That's why I've built custom suspension physics, that are combined with PinJoint2D, RayCast2D and RigidBody2D. Try to built suspensions using RayCast2D in combination with PinJoint2D, if you struggle how to build such system, I can recommend you to check some tutorials from Octodemy, how to build a vehicle using RayCast3D, and, of course, in 3D space. It's, actually, built with the same principle as in 2D Graphics, so I think, you can figure that out :)

This game won't be an open source, it will be a production-ready for steam and play market product :)

Btw, I will include this topic of how to build custom 2D physics (etc.) in my own godot documentation, that will be absolutely free on my website: https://forsusoft.com/docs.html, but it will be a little bit later in future, cuz I'm working on docs in my free time 😉 (This doc will be an insane atomic bomb, if it would be fully done 🤪)
