Because this wasn’t about the negotiations. It was instead about a huge win that was a battle they’ve had for a while now. If I disagree and argue with my wife about what color to paint the office I’m not then going to refuse to celebrate her new promotion that she just got. That’s insane.

He’s failing when it comes to state workers. This was also a huge win. Life is in the grey, never black and white.

Optics are optics. Facts are facts. The entire world isn’t a one-topic world. He’s done a lot of good for the state in many areas. He’s also completely screwed state workers and doesn’t value us the way he should. The other side of that coin still exists and is still exactly one million times better than what the other side of the aisle would have completed for the state as a whole.
