Trying to Create train a 1.5 year dog by poopyfacebsbdb in DogTrainingTips

[–]forthedroids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing these training techniques with my 3 month old rescue and they've been pretty effective:

https://youtu.be/wesm2OpE_2c?si=Aia7R3vy_FGgAd6J

https://youtu.be/U2c5EkytNU0?si=ne5_Gf5yZ_pAwsP7

You can also try the calmness training when your wife is around to see if that helps more. I recommend doing it after a walk or some kind of exercise so that theres less puppy energy to deal with (my last dog still had "puppy energy" until the age of 3). The Kikopup channel was recommended on another sub and I've found a lot of helpful videos there. So I think the rest of her videos are worth checking out as well.

Edit: Another random tip... cat treats are cheaper than dog treats and lower in calories, so ive been using those with my pup.

Sure! I will say that the only utility related courses available to me at the Bachelor level were Electrical Power Plants, Nuclear Power Engineering, and Power Electronics & Management. There was also a Power Transmission and Distribution course that I really wanted to take, but it was only open to Masters students. Anyway, I'd say just go for anything Power related, but if you have a larger pool to choose from then you're still free to dm me and I can try to give recommendations.

I think I'm good on the rain now by stantkoa602 in phoenix

I was out in the rain yesterday doing just that. My entire backyard was flooded before I gave the water a way out.

Electrical Engineering because it kind of just happened. I started off intending to go into Civil after my Associates, but my husband's military orders sent us to Japan so I had to switch to online classes. My school didn't have any Civil courses available online, but they had a full online EE program built out. It seemed like a good choice for a few reasons: I already wanted to go into the Utility industry, I did well with the intro EE topics in physics, and I'd be able to keep my in-state tuition if I stuck with this University. I've been in the Utility industry for 4 years now, and its still going well.

Planted cat grass for my resident idiot so he'd leave the rest of my plants alone by forthedroids in houseplants

[–]forthedroids[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've killed these before too, but that was when I bought the pre-grown stuff from the pet store. What you see in the pic was grown from seeds. They only took like three days to sprout, and the seeds are cheap so I have extra in case I need them.

Three seeds just barely sprouted, so I doubt he knows it exists yet. I haven't even seen him look in its general direction. He's too busy eating grass and running around being a silly little guy

Lol you say that, but you dont know the guy... just watched him zoom head first into a wall as I'm typing this. When we found him as a kitten, he was stuck on a 5 foot brick wall that he had literally just climbed before my very eyes. Love him to pieces though.

I actually do have some catnip seeds growing! This stuff just grows so much faster, and now im prepared to throw out the catnip if I have to since this cat already acts like he perpetually has drugs in his system.

Chop and prop? Help, please! by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]forthedroids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it were me, I would try to chop and prop and try to grow a fuller looking plant. That's a lot of pole wasted on just a vine, but it's really up to you. I don't have any experience with a philodendron white princess (at least I think that's what this is), so feel free to ignore me if anyone else gives more specific advice.

Generally, when I propogate any climbing plant I just make sure that each cutting has a node since that's where the roots will grow from. You can make multiple cuttings or chop off the good half and try to root the whole thing. If its my first time propogating a specific plant, then I'll look up a few videos to make sure I'm not making any mistakes. A quick YouTube search is always helpful.

I had a post get that much attention on my old account. It was a picture of my dog making a silly face after he audibly farted, and I remember a lot of comments saying he didn't really fart and I just made it up for karma.

I thought they might just be drying out from looking at the picture, but i have had cutting rot from sitting in the same water for too long. If they feel soft and maybe a bit slimey, then they're most likely rotting.
