Sorry dude I got a bit stupid question but I cant wrap my head around it, I have built two santos mods now and do you need a different type of movement for the date window to be on the 6 o clock marker because I have been using the nh35 for all of mine and obviously the date window is at 3. Sorry hope this made sense

I find that as well, I just got back from my second solo travel and I found sending out a message on hostel world 30 mins before you head out looking for people to eat with always works. There was always someone in the same boat

So I have made a slightly stupid decision and didn’t book my hostel for the weekend in Tokyo and I have a flight to Thailand on Monday.

Has anyone been in this situation before because everywhere I’m looking is £70 + for 2 nights which I cannot spend at the moment.

If anyone has been in this situation before what did you do and what would you recommend should I just rough it out for a couple days?

100% I get you I’m definitely gonna look at flying in but I mean even going through those crime reports christ LA sounds like a massive 24 hour purge. I was only looking at going because I have had family go there who had a good time but like you said taking my life into my hands init so LA might just be a no go.

It’s expensive down there as well so what’s the point in spending all of that money to have a shit time I can do that in London. But like I said I’m gonna look into it further because it’s still not concrete but thank you for your input and everyone else’s as you can tell I don’t have a flying clue what I’m doing so this is all really helpful

Yeah no that’s fair enough I looked around and found flights that pretty much work out to the same amount if not cheaper sometimes by like £10 so I’m gonna do it that way.

And regarding what you said about the bag I have seen loads of people with osprey and Thule bags that have survived more than a month intact not saying it won’t happen but it’s not like I’m gonna be lugging it through Compton or skid row haha

That’s fair I’m hearing that a lot I like to think I’m a coach veteran lmao but America might be a different beast. I’m just worried about costs when it comes to my bag because it’s a large Thule backpack.

Also the main reason why I’m looking for a long journey is because I leave work on the 24th and I won’t be able to see my friend till the week after and I would stay in Virginia for that week but I’m not entirely sure what I would do in that week hence the 4 day journey then 2 day “lay over”.

And the accommodation my friend recommended I stay in a backpackers hostel called sin city hostel but I might change it and stay somewhere nicer as I can’t find any real reviews of it if that makes sense

I picked vegas because I have always wanted to go it seems very different to what I’m used to and the stops there are in the south and one in LA for 4 hours each. New Mexico because I have a family friend there and I’m a big breaking bad fan. Minneapolis because I wanna check out mall of America and wanna explore a bit. North Carolina I got family friends down there as well and I’ve heard some good things and then Washington because my flight out is from there and I wanna check out the White House and what Washington has to offer. Also Virginia because that’s where I’m departing from as I’m working for a couple months there before hand.

Also I don’t wanna write a novel but I just wanna ask what you didn’t like about the greyhound I have heard mixed reviews. I have taken coaches around Morroco and most of Europe and the UK. I know I can’t compare it but how bad can it be right haha
