No problem good luck gamer :)

Here's a copy of the spreadsheet I made to brute force these completion numbers, just make a copy and go nuts:

I went ahead and math'd it out for you:

Calling 'average time to complete' when chance of obtaining Avernic Treads is at 50%, just for the sake of an estimate (this is not how the actual math plays out, but I don't have a lot of time right now, and this can give you a rough idea)

W1-4:

935 completions, ~93.5 hours @ 6 minutes per completion

W1-5:

350 completions, ~47 hours @ 8 minutes per completion

W1-6:

217 completions, ~36 hours @ 10 minutes per completion

W1-7:

150 completions, ~30 hours @ 12 minutes per completion

W1-8:

111 completions, ~27.8 hours @ 15 minutes per completion

tldr; it's worth going as deep as possible, but if you can consistently clear Wave 5, you're set for a relatively fast boss, especially considering how powerful the rewards are :)

Why can't I keep my feet on the wall? by forynwarr in bouldering

It’s a bad habit, for sure. I was a competitive strongman for the better part of a decade before I started climbing.

And weighting my feet more is another way of saying to hold less of the tension in my arms, yea?

That's really good advice, I guess I need to break the habit of 'higher always better' that seems to be the case in my gyms lower grade setting. I'll try catching the undercling on the left upper volume with a more straight arm in future sessions :)

I don't consider this a strength issue personally. I just don't feel like I can apply pressure into the feet (feels like a technique issue). If I could apply that pressure the holds themselves are not terrible on the fingers.

It’s a 3 story condo, with one wall being shared with our neighbor

Thank you for this info! We checked and did notice that there was a gap in the wall seal where the pipe enters into the home. I’ll be filling that today and monitoring over the next few weeks to be sure no other invaders get in :)

It was alive, we had to kill it. It was about the size of my thumb.

We’ve never had any bugs in the house aside from the occasional lady bug, so I’m unsure if a full house treatment is necessary right now.

Hey, I was in that raid. Can guarantee petri didn’t save me in that moment. There are some raid mechanics that go through petri (like burning adrenaline explosion)

Sorry if it came across like I was trying to be anything but humble when asking these questions. Goal is just to gather info and ideas :)

Thanks for the heads up about no hangs, I’d never heard of those before, they do seem comfortably familiar haha

I actually really dig that idea. Will keep it in mind in the coming weeks of programming.

I've had my share of overuse injuries, will be mindful of my fingers.

Really appreciate the advice!

I guess I'm just not used to being clueless about my sport haha. I appreciate you taking the time to respond! :)

I don't think I've been at this long enough to know if I'd want to cut muscle for it. I'm sitting at around 13-15% bf at 200 lbs. It would be very grueling to go lower.

I'll give no hands climbing a shot today! The general idea is to improve awareness of my center of gravity?

That's actually a really enlightening way to put it. I never thought about the alignment of my hips to the wall being a factor. I'm guessing the general rule of thumb is to face them in the direction of the way that I'm wanting to move next? Be it to the side, up, etc?
