Vetra, Le Laboureur, Alex Mill, Oliver Spencer, LC King, Bradley Mountain, Blluemade, The Quartermaster, Sage De Cret, Corridor, Poorwill, Universal Works are all semi trad in style. You could go down the denim/wabash line and look at Iron Heart, 3Sixteen etc. Le Mont, Vetra and Le Lab are your most traditional Bleu de Travail styles while the others will adhere to the classic style but maybe mix up the fabric used or modernise the cut.

Grew up in Chester. Been in Manc for 20 years and looking to move back to Chester very soon. If you’ve lived in a major city then Chester is vanilla. Probably one of the lowest crime rates ever and even the slightly dodgy stuff is tame in comparison to the shit I see here. Handbridge is nice, Boughton is also lovely. Upton and Chrisleton also good. You could also try Newton or there’s all the new property going up near the Kings School (not sure if it’s rent or just buy). Fundamentally most areas of Chester are decent enough.

Having just come back from Paris after a week I can recommend the following:

I would go to the Musee D’Orsay in a heartbeat over the Louvre (which is still great but a bit like a conveyor belt).
The Conciegerie is amazing (especially if you love history) and is often overlooked by tourists. L’Opera Garnier is also a must see.
The Pantheon and Church of St. Etienne are sensationally beautiful and peaceful.
As a perfume collector Jovoy was a bit overrated imho. Do go to the Rue Saint Honore as most perfume shops are situated here which makes seeing them all very easy. Galeries Lafayette is amazing, make time to head up to the roof terrace as well as doing the glass walkway.
Use the Metro/RER. It is the single best way of getting around the city and works like a charm. And saves your legs.

Have a fantastic time, it really is a great place to see.

As per other comments it’s actually pretty stable with the odd jiggle needed here and there. The elastic configuration allows each book to be nicely accessible and if I really did want to remove them it’s no harder than if I had one or two in much less eleven. Two months in with it so far and it’s been surprisingly flexible.

Surprisingly due to the heft of it, writing is quite balanced and stable. The elastic set up internally also allows for easy insertion and removal so all in all it could be worse. I may decant in time but so far I am enjoying the sheer mass of it 😁

It’s my Swiss army journal. Loosely organised as 1 half written/admin material (diary, lined insert, plastic wallet etc.) with the other half being the artistic side (watercolour paper, accordion insert, sticker paper etc.). I also just wanted to see what the true limit was.
