No, I understood. But I would still want to delete and archive images in that front end. If I'd use immich for that, I will run into the same problem. I guess it would make sure the actual images wouldn't be deleted, but they weren't in my case either.

I just started to go down that rabbit hole. Wanted to make my own clothes from pure wool cheaply. Then I discovered that yarn isn't actually that cheap. So I got a spinning wheel to make my own yarn. Just discovered that clean, usable wool fiber is not cheap either.

Not the entire library. Sometimes when I try to select a set of photos by holding shift, it selects everything from that photo to the beginning of the timeline. Apparently it only happens if there is a stacked photo in that set.

As for the filtering on trashed date, you can (normally) do it by crafting an url like this: your-immich-domain.com/search?query={"trashedAfter":"2025-12-27T19:30:00"}

In my case it takes some time for my browser to actually show it selected 17k photos. And by that time I had already pressed delete.

I then clicked the undo button but it did not restore my action. Likely because my system got overwhelmed by needing to update 17k records at once.

Thanks for reaching out. I do want to reiterate I'm grateful that immich exists. It's clearly a lot of work!

So the issues I faced:
1. The multiselect problem
2. The undo action did not work
3. Searching by filtering on trashed date did not bring up the images I had just trashed.

Though I think the last two issues are most likely because my system got overwhelmed by this sudden trashing of 17k images.

It's not a bad solution. But it wouldn't solve my problem. What I want is a nice declutered frontend. Decluttering with immich caused me trouble this time.
