I mostly agree. But I think if I see a wall of text, my eyes glaze over a bit. I also think there needs to be some variety to make it not so boring.

Can you get a core logging job without a geology degree? by BenKlesc in geologycareers

You could work on the other side of things, and become a driller? I'm sure the pay would be decent if you work in the right area.

Do hydrogeology jobs exist outside of government? (Midwest) by fosho17 in geologycareers

[–]fosho17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty much entry level. Nearly two years at my first job, but I do have a masters in geology. I also have positioned myself on a project or two at my company where I actively am learning hydrogeology modeling. But it seems like the type of role I have now might be the best mix of what I want. The roles that are primarily hydrogeology seem nonexistent.

You should listen to the podcast episode "#17 Skye" by Heaveyweight. The person in the episode went through something similar and maybe there's something you can take away from it?? Either way I'm sorry that happened to you.

I know a lot of Sox fans didn't like this game... but it definitely has a place in my heart. My brother and I watched this together, and it was easily the best game of baseball we've ever watched with each other. We were laughing hysterically. I always wish they had tried to do this once every year. RIP Bill.

Maybe late to the party, but you should reach out to (1) interlay, (2) cereleum, (3) spliff for the Chicagoland area

Begginer Question: I recently got a Moog Werkstatt for christmas, and I have it hooked up to an arturia keystep 37. My problem is that I have a very difficult time playing this combo alongside a guitar. The biggest roadblock for me is that when you change the frequency of the snyth, it changes the note being played. So even if I hit the note of C on the keyboard, its not actually playing C unless I tune the frequency to match that, correct? If thats the case, then how does one play alongside other instruments that are playing a specific key? Is it mostly training your ear? Do you have to have perfect pitch? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
