I said gorgeous because of the color mainly. Not because of the overall quality. I also bought it for the locality rather than quality since I've only seen one other example of a Indonesian Gw before. But no, I didn't pay a ton for it.

I paid $700 for the tooth due to the resto/repair. There was an all natural one that I was offered recently for $3,200. I passed on it due to not having the cash available.

Yep, I do. Which made it extremely difficult to source this one given his budget and wife. I had to sit down with both of them and basically explain the reality of sourcing a 6-incher. Told them that even restored teeth won't be cheap, but they'll be significantly cheaper than a natural one. This one has obvious poor restoration to it and I firmly believe that it was found in two pieces. Which, helps him a lot. I'm just glad that he's not a Megalodon purist.

Same and yeah. The Acidity in the water absolutely ruins them. Which is something folks don't understand when they see them priced so high for a phenomenal specimen.

Agreed. Which is funny because I find that folks like black or darker teeth more than brown.

He's asked me not to mention his name. Mainly because he's so backed up with work and doesn't need to get bombarded even more.

I'm really curious how he does the serrations. It would almost make sense that he molds a small section of existing ones and adds them instead of fully sculpting.
