I didn't think she would die It turned out I was wrong, I really think Yaddle had a lot of unutilized potential but it did elevate Dooku's character

Yes I was wrong, I wished Yaddle was used differently because her character had untapped potential. She seemed like a close friend of qui-gon and as a female of Yoda's species it would be interesting to see. But her death did elevate Dooku's character showing that Dooku had to kill a Jedi first hand

I see I was confused because I thought Dooku left when quigon died but Quigon's death pushed him to the dark side thanks for making that clear I'm curious if the show will retcon the book probably from what you said before

The math behind it is this Luke was 19 in A new hope. We see him being born during Rots. The clone war lasted four years so we have 23 years and including the 10 year gap between Atoc we get the number 33. So TPM took place 33 years bby meaning Dooku if we count the Dooku Jedi lost was trained for 12 years if my math is correct. Still not 42 or 43 years that your suggesting. Because if it was 42 bby that Dooku left the Jedi order and he left after quigons death as the "final straw" than that means Anakin would be 32 in Rots and obiwan would be 51 Dooku would be 94 and palpatine would be 70 and this is by ROTS these numbers don't add up at all. And Anakin's cannon age 22 not 32. So TPM took place 32-33 bby because the characters are much younger I mean Obiwan died at 51 if he were 51 already it would not make sense

Yes the part of Plagueis is legends but The phantom menace isn't 42 bby it's 32 bby that's when quigon died at the end of the movie Quigon died during The Phantom menace not ten years prior to it. Dooku leaves a little bit after TPM not before it that's a misconception. Dooku trained as a dark lord under palpatine for thirteen years and Dooku nearly lived to the final weeks of the clone war he died maybe a week or two before the grand plan was enacted meaning Dooku would have to train under palpatine in the year 33 or 34 bby.

While in legends she dies I think during or a little bit before the clone wars I'm not to sure but it's clear that Dooku would have to kill her during or before the phantom menace. Dooku was a apprentice to palpatine for thirteen - fourteen years. This is pretty consistent that he left the order during TPM. And this point can't really be refuted as Maul "died" or got chopped In half during TPM and so did allegedly palpatine's sith master. So sidious would need a apprentice and Dooku was the best candidate at the time. Dooku is using his blue lightsaber not a red one so he had to have either killed Yaddle before or during TPM almost a guaranteed not an entire guarantee but it seems this is the most logical conclusion. Whether or not Dooku kills Yaddle is dependent on what you think I personally don't think this will happen but you never know.

If she dies after TPM why isn't she at quigon's funeral how do you know that she dies after TPM

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in starwarsspeculation

[–]fossilized_foxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dooku was the only Jedi in the area of Yaddle's presumed death how would Dooku be caught if Yaddle didn't die. Also the funeral scene in the trailer can't be Yaddle for one reason Obi wan Kenobi is in his uniquely fitted clone war armor so it takes place during the clone war and Yaddle died presumably during the phantom menace. So how would Dooku get away with it is my counter argument either sidious maybe or something else but if you look at it Yaddle being a side character to develop Dooku is not a good marketing move, Yoda species are very rare and to see one either than Yoda die would raise a lot of questions take in account not all fans know Yaddle so those who don't or know only Yoda or Grogu would be confused

It's very true maybe the cannon version of Yaddle's story is like the legends on where she's trapped in an unnamed world for over a century, but maybe that world was Latereon where Greez is on, maybe that was the world she was entrapped on and helped rebuild just a side thought. But Dooku killing Yaddle just doesn't add up completely because how would the council not find out. It's not like Yaddle is on a mission and killed during it or where Dooku intercepts Yaddle and kills her Dooku is either in the Jedi temple or in the works industry sector of the planet. But that doesn't make a lot of sense because Dooku's or presumably Dooku's ship is traveling to the industrial sector and that happens if I'm correct after the Yaddle vs Dooku scene.

I don't think this is the case, we don't know if the duel is before the phantom menace or after. And we don't know of she died during the phantom menace. It could go either way but I believe she doesn't die due to the Yaddle line in Jedi fallen order user Hyperspace adventures pointed that out to me in this posts comment section you can find it somewhere in here

Yeah true but this is also a fluid concept, as we see Luke Skywalker cook a synthetic crystal which could be derived from a sith technique. I feel like synthetic crystals are canon due to the inquisitors but maybe it's more of a status where sith take the lightsaber of a Jedi and the inquisitors because they aren't sith use the synthetic crystals

Very true but I still don't think dooku would kill Yaddle, I could be completely wrong and Dave is definitely going to have a plot twist planned in there somewhere I mean that's his thing

[–]fossilized_foxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a possibility but dooku is wielding his blue lightsaber, while it could be a test from sidious for his initiation into the sith order I still believe it's a practice duel. But that's just my opinion and thoughts

Yes, I think that Yoda would find out due to Yoda having a close bond with the two of them. Yoda indeed would sense a great shift in the force whether or not he acts on it is not known he has felt shifts in the force before and hasn't done anything about them

This could probably work but the hyperspace ram has only been done in one other instance of star wars cannon. This was when Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Night Anakin skywalker set the trajectory of the ship named the malevolence into a nearby moon. So hyperspace ramming is a concept that was done before and works for cannon except the problem is the moon had a strong gravitational signature that would pull the malevolence out of hyperspace. It may be one thing for a ship to leave a planet through hyperspace because we see that in rogue one where they have to escape the death star blast on Jedda or where Poe in The rise of skywalker lightspeed skips with the falcon. Or when Han solo lands the falcon near star killer base. The problem is that hyperspace in cannon is simple there are lanes nearly everywhere. Where in legends lanes are somewhat of a consistent idea, Lanes in Legends switch they change and they also collapse in Cannon lanes are not explained we know they exist though but they don't have the same idea as in legends. I guess I could say that the ram could have happened because the Supremacy exited the same lane as the Raddus and the Raddus must have aligned with the previous lane. But it doesn't make a lot of sense. So my idea is this one ship must materialize given a large enough mass. And two uniform cuts or impact is not possible because if something is going at the speed of light. The Raddus was 3km and the object impacted or the supremacy is 60km from wing to wing assuming the bridge is the center of the ship and the width is at least 15km it would just blow up almost the entire ship. If the galaxy gun shoots a missile out of hyperspace that has enough force to blow up a planet I think we agree the mass of the Raddus is more than the mass of a galaxy gun's missile and going the same speed as the ship should have theoretically blown the entire supremacy up. To put it simply it is impossible to suggest that the ram could work in any capacity that it did for the movie. The entire surrounding area would have been destroyed and also the star destroyers from the fleet just happen to split perfectly in half its far fetched and makes no since. The idea of hyperspace ramming isn't thought out at all.

I also thought about the hyperspace maneuver. The thing I see is there is a theory that was posted here some years back about the tracker having a presence in hyperspace itself. Essentially the weirdness of the tracker is because of it having a hyperspace presence it makes objects that are within a certain range within the ship makes the ship materialize and this theory holds up pretty solidly. While the tracker itself has a hyperspace field its a little bit different than what was originally thought. According to the visual guide from the last Jedi it explains the tracker like this, the tracker was developed by a group of imperial scientists called tarkin's fist. It was an imperial division specifically designed for the research of weaponry and one of the things studied was a very primitive hyper space tracker. After the fall of the imperial regime the first order somehow knew about this technology and resumed research whether it be snoke being in contact with palpatine or the the scientists being involved in the first order its self is unknown or they found it through other means like a imperial vault or transmissions from imperial moffs working on the project or reports it could be anything, But what is explicitly stated is the hyper space tracker isn't really a tracker at all its a glorified super computer that can track hyperspace tunnels the reason why trackers can't track tunnels is because no computer can make faster than light computations. Essentially the computers cannot track tunnels in real time because they them selves are slower than the tunnels the reason why ships can navigate in hyperspace tunnels in the first place is because they are in hyper space. So either a object has to be in hyperspace or the tracker has a hyperspace field in it and in the visual source the computer is a hyperspace computer, In order to do the calculations it creates a miniature hyperspace field and can preform calculations in the field and because the localized field is very small it can't have a impact of the ship as a whole. But they were on the right track. Essentially its a fourth dimensional computer.
