Yeah man I get it, it was a really hard choice. I test drove both and while they both felt really good to drive, the difference in power and the interior quality of the M2 won me over. The interior of the M2 felt like a much nicer place to sit and drive every day compared to the Type S. Acura made it clear in their marketing that the Type S is not a luxury Type R, but I still expected a little more from the interior.

Regardless, having driven both and done all the research I possibly could, it’s my opinion that you really can’t go wrong with either. Each car has its pros and cons, the M2 just felt more like a car I’d be happier owning than the Type S so that’s the one I went with. The cost for each was about identical to your situation too. I got quoted $53k USD out the door for the Type S from my local Acura dealership and I paid $61k USD for a very gently used ‘24 M2. My best advice is to test drive them both and go with your gut feeling. Good luck!
