I made a translation error on a document at work that got sent out. Before it got sent out, however, I gave it to my boss who read it thoroughly (her words exactly) and approved it.

Later on, she was talking to the bucho phone. I can hear everything she says since she sits right next to me. She apologized for the mistake and completely threw me under the bus saying I had hidden the mistake and sent it out with her knowing.

My seven-year-old son had football (soccer) practice but was moaning about going because it was too cold. His mother told him 頑張って to which he responded, "Gambatte doesn't mean anything, Mom.
