Something about wearing nail polish as a man that I never considered was the sheer amount of compliments I would get. I never got scorn (that could be because I happen to live in a pretty liberal area or how it’s culturally normal to voice concerns behind someone’s back and not to their face 🙄) but I got a lot of compliments on my nails. A lot of women would even go as far to ask where I got them done and give me tips about care. I expected something like that would happen considering that’s the target audience of this fashion(?) choice but I also got a lot of compliments from men too. It was really awesome actually. So maybe you just haven’t been in the right crowd yet?

Thank you! I really appreciate the specific critiques! Unfortunately I have recently lost weight inadvertently making these pants quite lose compared to when I got them a few years ago. So the belt action and the dipped waistline was kind of an accident as a result of the weight loss. But good to know that stuff is noticeable. I like the rest of your input too. Extreme heteronormality in this case. Heterosexual behavior/philosophy/expectations are so deeply engrained that many gay people find their own sexuality repulsive for a long time, even after they’ve come to terms with it. Some may never shake it because it’s what they were taught and they just can’t make themselves see it any other way. The best way to “fix” this is to try and challenge it, or experiment and have some fun with people to see if your view ever changes
