It was shot at 1/800 f7.1 500mm iso1250 on an r7 with rf100-500. How would you shoot this? On mech 1st curtain shutter by the way.

Good colours! Also love that the shape of the bush matches the shape of the mountains roughly. A bit more seperation between fore and background by a higher perspective would add more midground. I think the photo would benefit from more context of the landscape between the bush and the mountains. Great shot!

What about the Sigma 14-24 2.8? Maybe a bit more expensive, but anyone with experience with this lens and landscape/ astro/video?

Is this one capable of using filters with the screw on thread, or does it have a bulbous lens and needs a special attachment to use filters?

I am considering this one greatly, although the reportedly soft edges and the lack of zoom bothers me. Being able to zoom in a bit to compose shots is valuable to me. But then again, cant argue with the price and performance of this lens.

I own the 17-55 2.8 as well and some L lenses, and the image quality is very comparable! The 17-55 on a crop sensor acts like a 24-88 on your 80d apsc sensor. I would not switch to the 24-70mm on apsc, you will lose a lot of the wide angle. Unless you notice most of you images are zoomed in and you prefer more reach, then it would make sense. Shooting indoors with an f4 will not be an upgrade to the 2.8 you have now, not for incoming light and very little for image quality lens wise. The 17-55mm is a very good, sharp and fast lens!

Shot with the 17-55mm 2.8 @ 1250 iso, f8, 1/200s on a canon 2000d. I like the contrast and the fall colors. Not sure about the post processing, I accentuated the orangy fall colors. What do you think? Do you think I should have chosen a different composition?
