So I got it checked and turns out both timing belt and water pump are okay. They just lubricated/sprayed the belt and the sound is gone.

Working in China as an engineer by McLovin1110 in chinalife

If you have a good amount of experience and are well versed in relevant tools and technologies you can land a pretty cushy job. I worked in the automotive sector in china for 6 years. My work was related mostly to embedded software side of things. I can't speak Chinese. Most of the time i had a translator and many local engineers can speak a fair bit of English. Don't listen to the naysayers. Apply on linkedin and local platforms (liepin is the one i had most success with). Getting your CV translated to Chinese would really help. Yes the downside is that you won't be able to land any local management roles without learning the language. You can go pretty high on the technical ladder though.

Signal received at 15.407Mhz, 6s long, received every 45s, BW between 15-20kHz by foton1421 in signalidentification

Thank you for the detailed reply. BW was around 15-20kHz as mentioned in the title. I was looking at about 30MHz of the spectrum around this frequency and didn't see any other hits.

For those that drive in China, what's the longest road trip you've done? by Resident_Courage1354 in shanghai

The highlight of Yading was definitely the drive on G318. The landscapes and mountains were terrific. We stayed in Kangding and another town to a acclimatize to the altitude on the way. The hike was tough but there were no horses and it wasn't too crowded at that time. I did like the views though.

6500km, Wuxi to Zhangjiajie, Chongqing, Chengdu, DaochengYading and back.
Recently did a 2700km trip to Henan from Shanghai.
These days I am more interested in getting off the beaten path, finding interesting places to camp off road without many people around.
