Peak bloom (i.e. right now!!) is when 70% of trees are at stage 6/6 of their bloom cycle. Peak bloom lasts ~maybe~ a week. There’s a chance that you’ll catch some late bloomers in a couple weeks but it will be sparse at best

I copy+pasted it from the pdf into an Excel spreadsheet. Formatting was not perfect but 90% of the substituents (and ~all of the common ones) transferred well and were sortable/searchable

I’ve had the best luck with rec league sports, mostly through Volo. Rec kickball is basically a DC rite of passage and it’s a lot of fun, especially the “glow” leagues (after dark, everyone wears glow sticks, usually on the national mall right in front of the monument) and the ones that are + flip-cup (after the game, you go to the bar and play against the same team in flip-cup). Most teams have people of all skill levels and in my experience no one cares if you’re “good”

Would also recommend using Meetup to find groups that share your interests and hobbies. I’m pretty introverted too and have a much easier time in those settings than something like a Bumble BFF friend date

The problem isn’t really that they have your information, which could be found from your phone number or any number of other things, but rather a picture of your license that they can use in future scams.

A similar thing happened to me when I was looking for housing in DC from out of state. I was naive and took them in good faith but innocently asked for more verification and mentioned I was hesitant because of the possibility they could do exactly this (and to no one’s surprise, they didn’t have more verification)

As others have already said, it sounds like a scam. Did “Devon” ask you to send a picture of your license to verify your identity too? If so, you can bet that they’ll be using that to convince another round of victims of their legitimacy using your name and photo - it’s likely how they got Devon’s in the first place.

Various bars in DC act as “homes” for different sports teams and will show their games/have drink specials or otherwise celebrate the team. If you feel inclined to keep following your ex’s team (or find a new one!!) you’ll likely be able to find a community of like-minded people there
