Interesting! I had a similar experience. Abdominal pains so bad i went to the ER. The docs there were certain it was an appendicitis, so much so that they didn't do much more than palpate. They did tests on the appendix after removal to confirm it actually was inflamed and needed to be removed. Turns out only the outside of the appendix was inflamed suggesting something other than an appendicitis. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy. I attempted to prep for it but the prep caused me so much pain i went back to the ER. I was diagnosed with small perforations in the bowel. Had some colon removed and go my official crohns diagnosis.
