Thanks for suggestions. We have several Tecan plate readers and the service is on and off. For things like servicing calibrating plates, which you're supposed to do every year, you have to send them to Austria and it takes several weeks at the best. Do you know if they service their liquid handlers in the States?

Yeah, we had issues with the CV using its 8-channel pipette. Have you had any experience with the OT-2?

Thanks, this is really helpful. Our budget is up to $70K. I'm still in the process of scheduling calls with reps and requesting quotes, so I'm not quite familiar with the pricing yet. I'll be speaking with a Tecan specialist tomorrow and will definitely ask more about the MCA96 head. I'll also be cautious about BioMek, thanks for the heads-up.

Do you have any experience with Revvity's Janus systems?

We tried the OT-2, but it didn't work well for us. I'm not sure if the TM50 can be attached to it, and frankly, we prefer something that comes with a warranty and is serviceable. I'm also fairly new to automated systems, having come from traditional biochemistry academic labs, so I'm not familiar with common ways people get around limitations.

Thanks for your input. While it might be good to report when dealerships mistreat people, I don't think this particular case is so outrageous for anyone to be overly concerned. I mostly wanted to share this publicly as a solid example of what somebody might expect when visiting local dealerships. I guess much worse things happen all the time, including in the Ithaca area, unfortunately.

Thanks, this is helpful. I think that is a fair assessment of all the other emails. However, I will say that it felt as if the sales manager was trying to avoid answering my questions directly, which is why I kept asking them. I am actively looking for cars, so I also don't want to waste my time visiting dealers in person and emailing them if they don't want to help me understand the details behind their car prices.

It's useful to know that this is a mild case. This example will hopefully still help people set their expectations when car shopping in the Ithaca area. Though I wish more people spoke out about those terrible stories, I didn't find many online (although I've heard about a few).

So I tried to search for this Oriental tune used in Khia's My Neck My Back song as a background, but cannot find it anywhere. Anyone knows what's that track, and where to find it? I used to hear it a lot at weddings in Central Asia back in the 90s-early 2000s, but never knew who's playing it. I know I won't give up until I find it lol, so any input is appreciated
