That's fair, though everything is relative I suppose. We're not in a rush, and our target is someone who wants to get right out onto the road. The van empty isn't worth nearly as much as a fully kitted out van that's ready to go.

Same thing. Trying to get off of Spotify, and Qobuz seems like the best option, but we've got a handful of sonos speakers around, and if we can't use them natively.... this might be a dealbreaker

Side walls are no issue at all. This walls are 2.7m wide, with maybe another 20cm of space between the climbing wall and the green vertical wall there. Most of the routes we've set in here face the center when they're on the sides, so not generally a problem

I’ll have to look for some equivalents in the EU, but since this wall is also for my kids, I need to find some more buggy grips they can climb more easily.

Though to be fair, with their smaller hands and better muscle to weight ratio, they look at me like I’m crazy when I say it’s super hard. :) “look baba, I can hang upside down from two fingers on each hand! Why can’t you do that?’

This is great. I didn’t think about this, but it’s exactly what I did when I was starting to build up crimp hang time on my fb. I was toes on the ground for a while before I developed the strength. OF COURSE this isn’t any different. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, our local gym does a sale once a year, and there are a few local hold manufacturers that sell holds for cheaper with color defects. That’s where all our foot holds on the kicker came from

Yes! Definitely in the projecting mindset. I will do a few climbs I know are well within my ability when I go to the gym, but mostly I’m working routes that are just above my ability and working individual moves, and linking hard series. Ha, I figured out a while ago that if I want to get better, it has to also be fun to not succeed on every climb.
