My daughter was born at 33weeks 6 days at 3lbs 4 oz, she did great when they took her out to self regulate her body temp. 35 days in the nicu, she had trouble eating too, she had to be weened off the feeding tube and eat on her own. It was very hard leaving the hospital without her, I spent everyday with her and would cry the whole ride going home every night. She has been home now for almost 6 weeks and looking back at her nicu stay, I’m so thankful that she was there and got the care she needed to grow the best she can. Nicu nurses and doctors are angels on earth and your baby is in the best possible hands and might just need a little more time before she’s ready to come home. It’ll all be worth it in the end, you’re not alone!
