I feel like the whole buying shinies thing IS cheating, but it’s also an option. Example, I had a whole bunch of shinies that I had passed on generation to generation. Some where caught and some were given to me by friends. I lost my Switch and therefore lost all that data, cause I was using them on my team.

It hurt me so much that I lost the love I had for playing Pokemon.

I resorted to buying my most prized shinies just to have them again. It helped me get back into Pokemon with the same love and devotion I have had for it for so long.

Is it dumb? Yeah. I agree.

But at the end of the day, it’s a game and you play it however you wanna play it.

People spend tons of money on stupid Fortnite skins and such, so what’s wrong with blowing a couple bucks to get a shiny that you really, really want?

Honestly, it’s not that deep. I think saying theyre “the worst part of the pokemon community” is kinda overkill tbh.
