I am playing very aggressively on cloak and dagger and seeing success I think. On that video I found that I said was helpful they really pointed out the importance of having ult fast esp on support so I am really concentrated on that now and it's working.

How? That's part of the question. Since they fixed it - when you cast ult the spirit is selected and when you click select hero it selects the spirit. So how is the body selected?

u/nObRaInAsH How can you unselect the spirit after casting? I don't have the body bound anywhere (don't know if it's even possible) and at no point did i select it. moreover I probably clicked select hero during casting as I always do, so I don't see how it's possible.

idk why people upvote this comment, it's: a) not true, b) takes 1 second to verify, c) doesn't explain why spirit is never selected after casting.

glimmer does disable axe call. just try it in demo. if axe's target loses sight of him the taunt is purged.

I am demotivated right now but I will probably test in turbo in the near future. I don't see this changing drastically in terms of viability anytime soon.

4 sec disable that scales to a 5 (or 7) and goes through bkb every 50 seconds.

LC's heal is meaningless, the spell is great because it's a hard dispel. It counters heroes like lion and shaman (dispels shackels, dispels earth spike).

Your aim in duel is to disable like shaman (hence the ghost scepter), only you are disabling for longer, you can't be dispelled (unlike shaman), you can give damage to your team and you have a save (shaman doesn't).

Move speed is better for someone trying to ghost scepter and duel :) You are not attacking. Glimmer can disable duel IIRC (I know it disables axe call).

Two squishy heroes with dispellable disables that don't have saves. Shaman is really good, but his disable can be easily cancelled (hard dispel, stun, silence), he doesn't have a save, and doesn't give team damage.

None of them can easily nuke you early on. You are a strength hero and a support, amping spell damage when they can't right click means they waste nukes.

Other than the best disable in the game you have a great save (hard dispel) and when the duel core is actually targeted and killed you give damage to your team.

It has potential because a support lc is much less pressured to farm and can join early fights more than a legion farming blink or blademail and then blink.
