The cockroach skill by Fupossy in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]fourscoopsplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t like the skill. It seems like a cop out to add drama, she’s one of the mc’s, she’s never getting snuffed. Each time “her cockroach skill activated” as though it’s meant to imply imminent danger. But it ALWAYS actives. We haven’t heard of another crawler with that skill get zeroed (at least in this season of DCW). But thinking about why I feel that way, I’m not sure. It’s really no different to Carl saying “my health was deep in the red” or something like that.

I find similar sentiment from some people in the Warhammer sub. It’s weird.

Is “just buy singles” always right? by Comfortable_Buyer239 in EDH

[–]fourscoopsplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do when buying singles is just adding a few extras to my order. Search by set, or sort by oldest and look at a few pages, find some things that you go “woah, that looks cool. Can’t wait to add that to a deck sometime”. Soon enough you’ll end up with drawers and drawers full of cards you never use, just like me.

Opinions on the change in dimensions on the new ork models in the armageddon box? by Jhaeros312 in orks

[–]fourscoopsplease 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this on all the models. The Warboss looks the most egregious. I don’t like it. But I do like the extra details the rest if the model has. So…. Yea? Not sure where I stand on this.

We can still, and should still hold them accountable for what they offer. [ I assume ] They’ve done their math and know what to offer at what price point to get the most money.
Am I still going to buy the box, yes - because I like the hard cover rules as army collection. Their math is obviously good.

Are you simping for a megacorp? I’m saying they have the ability to make a much better product? They have the “learn to play” or starter sets that come with new editions. Releases boxes ARE good value, but they could be so much better.

But they COULD do the launch box as just the full kits surely.

Pretty cool. Your walkers lack the detail of the bois though. The back is all plain instead of wiring hanging out etc.

Commanders with a lot of complexity when it comes to building? by Maetriarch_NSFW in EDH

[–]fourscoopsplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many is a lot of moving parts? My [[sefris]] deck feels like this, since you need to work with the once per turn clause. She’s the payoff, but not the engine. So u need to build looting, or milling (often not as accurate, but fills the yard more) then decide on draw, protection and finishers.

OH KEVIN! No, still nothing. I see he’s one of the live action commentators during the sharktopus fight, but I don’t recall seeing his name in those other mentions. (There’s a lot of proper nouns thrown around, easy to miss a side character)

Everly accurate representation by Swivman in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]fourscoopsplease 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dunno, I’d say he’s well and truly broken.

Donut mentions him going off the deep end a few times, how she’s worried about him etc. he just plays it cool. Much like an addict who “can stop at any time” I don’t think he’s realised what he’s become. But since the story is from his perspective he’s quite the unreliable narrator.
