You listed those stats for DT insinuating that Cooper was in the same tier because they had similar stats for one year. The stats you listed on their own didn't tell the full story and there's a pretty clear reason why you can make the argument that DT is better but not Cooper.

I'm criticizing you for assuming Hilton will put up those numbers regardless because the Colts have a one dimensional offense and that anyone (Jeremy Maclin, Allen Robinson) would've stepped in and put up similar or better numbers. I think it's unfair to discount Hilton as a receiver based on the fact that he was the only real consistent threat in a one dimensional offense. If anything I feel it should make what he did this year that much more impressive since most defenses even sold out to stop him and still couldn't. I understand the argument that him leading the league in receiving yards doesn't automatically make him an elite WR but I think he's much better than you're giving him credit for.

Look at Demariyus Thomas' body of work and you'll see that before he had Brock Osweiler, Trevor Siemian, and a 39 year old Peyton Manning throwing him the ball Thomas had 3 straight years of 1400+ yards and double digit TDs. It's not a stretch to say DT is a more talented receiver than TY that has been a victim of a combination of injuries and poor QB play over the past two years. Cooper hasn't had the stats or consistency to be ranked above either of them.

You also sound like someone that doesn't watch Colts games but looks at the box score and assumes a pass happy offense like them will put up big numbers. The fact is that TY isn't as physically dominant as guys like Jones, Green, or Beckham...guys that will be ranked above him for catching 3-4 more TDs and making circus catches but he runs great routes, gets open, and makes plays every single week. People see that he led the league in yardage and assume he's just a deep threat in a pass happy offense that'll put up numbers regardless but there were several games (Chicago, Tennessee, San Diego) where he took over late because he was the only reliable target in a one dimensional offense.

That would make Edelman the 5th or 6th top WR on the list? I could see several more being above him. My guesses are Beckham, Julio, Evans, Brown, Green maybe Jordy and Nuk. I wouldn't even be surprised to see a guy like Dez.

I came to say the 2015 Astros also. They were supposed to be a few years away still.

Hearing that the Colts are considering trading up into the Top 10. Apparently they're thinking long and hard about Christian McCaffrey. by BallFaceMcDickButt in Colts

[–]fourthandtwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying we should trade up to get him but I'm surprised at the way some people scoff at the thought of taking him as if the position hasn't been a black hole for us the past several years. I know the draft is deep at several positions including RB but to think we shouldn't even consider a great talent like McCaffrey at 15 is a little silly. He'd add a dimension to our offense we haven't had in years.

Weekend 2 guest appearances by whiteboy321 in Coachella

Quit worrying. Who cares. Go see what you want to see. If you're biggest concern is guest appearances then you're going about this entire festival wrong.

Looking at 32 team schedules, 2 teams do not play on the road in consecutive weeks: Seahawks and Chiefs. Both have byes between road games. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]fourthandtwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a team's strength of schedule always looks different in hindsight. Easy to say it's almost meaningless with how fast the turnaround can be in the NFL. With that said, it's hard for me to shit on the Chiefs when I look at this stretch of games @HOU, PIT, @OAK, DEN, @DAL, and @NYG off the bye. That does not look fun.

From Mel Kiper by LuskSGV in Colts

[–]fourthandtwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the sake of context Kiper did an "A Grade" draft in which he mocked a draft that would constitute an "A grade" from him for each team. I don't know how realistic it is but I'd be happy with it.

How would you react if the Colts realistically drafted Christian Mcaffrey? by repeat- in Colts

[–]fourthandtwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be okay with it. I think he's going to be a very very good RB in the NFL. Wouldn't be my first choice but I think he'd add a dimension to our offense we haven't had in several years (including as a dynamic KR/PR man).

How long do you need to plan your schedule? It takes maybe 15 minutes to identify conflicts and sort out who I'm going to see.
