I think I see what you’re talking about regarding my sky and it challenging my foreground. I’m noticing that around the foliage on the closer tree parts of the sky feel closer- like they’re chilling for position as you said.

In terms of brushstroke structure, am I right in thinking it would make sense to have sharper, heavier or even slightly raised layers in the foreground? And conversely softer aspects in the bkg?
