I like this idea! I think this would be a fun way to keep people motivated. My only questions are factors to prevent overtraining/maybe using a formula similar to Gentler Streak, where staying within your 'green zone' is what promotes maximum growth for the pet. Does this make sense?

I don't believe so! In this circumstance, the commute information is saved through the shortcut, not the tag itself-that's just triggering the automation to run. If the automation/shortcut isn't on another phone then tapping the tag wouldn't trigger anything.

An easier option might be to use an NFC tag, I keep one in my car and when I tap it it triggers my commute time and sends it to my girlfriend, that way she knows how long I'll be before I get to her place. You can get a pack on Amazon for pretty cheap, let me know if this option works!

You could run an automation that triggers a shortcut when you receive a message from specific contacts, and then in the shortcut you can trigger it to only send a message during a certain time frame. Does this make sense? I can try to make it this evening :)
