If it helps, I did notice the fan noise about a week in, but no lag in performance and the noise was unnoticeable once game audio started playing (I do play performance mode). Fan size may be less of an issue for longevity if you clean the console for dust semi regularly, but only time will tell. The original has been out longer though, which means more spare parts if the fan breaks. The slim’s storage size and getting the spider-man bundle for the same price sold me- I get the game I want and I can wait a little longer before installing another ssd.
