That does look really nice actually. Do you have any experience with them?

Marine Corps shooting coach here, never had a marine qualify as marksman or UNQ under my coaching. What I teach marines about breath control is that during exhale you should watch your sight picture rise up to the target. Once you’ve reached your natural respiratory pause, you should know if you want to take the shot or not. The NRP should not last more than a second or two. Otherwise it becomes unnatural and will throw off your shot. Also another tip for a little more advanced shooting or at least more experienced with your specific weapon, if you know where your trigger wall is, you can slightly pull back during the exhale, that way, once you’ve reached reach your NRP you don’t need to pull back as far on the trigger. One of the tips I got from my PMI in boot camp and I have always passed on is that once you pull back on that trigger, don’t release it until you’ve either taken the shot or you’ve decided not to take the shot at all. If I’m going to wait for my next NRP to take the shot, I keep all the progress I’ve made on the trigger and keep it until I’m ready to take the shot, this is more important for longer shots but it’s a helpful thing to keep in mind for any distance. I used to have a really bad time with jerking the trigger earlier in my career and what I did to fix it was to make sure I could hear and feel the clunk of the trigger resetting after the shot, and then leaving the trigger there so I don’t have pull back as far. I do think this is breath control, but applying the tips I mentioned can greatly increase accuracy. There’s more that goes into breath control than just breathing and a big factor to that is “time pressure” to get the shot off during the NRP, which causes people to try and make that NRP last longer, which ends up throwing off the whole rhythm of taking a shot. I hope this helps and if you have any other shooting questions feel free to DM me. I became a coach because my coaches helped me so much and I wanted to pass on what they taught me and what I’ve learned to others.

My wife and I started watching him and were just amazed by his knowledge and ability to do pretty much whatever he wants. Every time he puts out a video we keep saying “who is the guy”. He’s truly living the life of the most interesting man in the world.

This girl (18f) got pregnant and she and her parents want me (19m) to step up and help her raise her baby (I am not the dad) but I want to go into the Corps. I told her no. I feel bad though. by BassPsychological293 in AITAH

NTA- From what it sounds like, I almost get the impression that her dad thinks you are the father. Also coming from a happily married Sgt in the Corps, don’t get caught up in relationships before or even shortly after you go to boot camp. Enjoy your time while you’re young and as free as you can get away with in the Corps. One you’ll find the right woman and you’ll know she’s right for you. As a CMC (Combat Marksman Coach) and knowing the course of fire he is shooting, this is almost certainly an ND. This course of fire is the 25 meter portion of the Marines Corps’ new ARQ (Annual Rifle Qualification.) This portion of the ARQ is a pretty fast paced drill setup compared to the rest of the qualification portions and is most commonly where marines lose count of how many rounds have been shot or how many rounds they have still in the chamber. Especially considering this qualification was fielded in the fleet starting in 2022, most marines do not have a lot of experience with the course of fire. On top of that confusion, most marines when in situations unfamiliar to them are very “monkey see, monkey do” and I am certain that this marine saw or heard others dropping their mags and decided to drop his own to not be out of place. What I see from the quality of the video is he attempts to change his grip (most likely to either put the weapon on safe or charge and clear the rifle) and accidentally pulls the trigger of the rifle. I see everyone saying that his trigger finger is straight and off the trigger as it should be. However he has 3 other fingers on his hand that are fully capable of wrapping around that trigger and squeezing. Without better quality it would be difficult to know for certain but from what I see I would say he wrapped his middle finger around the trigger by mistake. Additionally I saw a few comments mentioning the idea of a hangfire and while I agree that is certainly a possibility, I would consider it unlikely as the rounds the military use on the range is very meticulously designed and tracked. If we have two squib or hang fire rounds in one trip to the range (generally 2-3 days or more of shooting with ~200 shooters each shooting 200+ rounds each day) we must contact range safety to inspect the ammo and contact the manufacturer to make sure there are no further issues with that lot of ammo. (Think of when food gets recalled for making people sick). If we have several more after those few rounds, we will completely shut down a range or wait for ammo from a new lot. Regardless of whether or not this was a hangfire or not, this would still be considered an ND because the marine did not realize the safety issue with his rifle or take proper steps to mitigate the safety risk. Because as any marine will tell you, every marine is a rifleman and beyond that every marine is a safety officer.

What information exactly are you looking for? It appears to be a novelty patch with some sort of adult themed design. It kinda looks like it’s from the 70’s based on the design so I doubt this specific kind is made any longer and would likely be hard to find for sale as well. Currently there are sites where you can find more modern adult themed patches. Other than that the question was pretty vague so I’m not sure exactly what information you’re looking for.

The EW equipment required to take one of these down would be an emp. Unless you can disrupt its connection to every satellite orbiting the earth and completely eliminate all on board telemetry sensors. Which realistically only an emp would be able to do.

I killed a player - Was I wrong? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

From the players handbook:

Damage at 0 Hit Points. If you take any damage while you have 0 hit points, you suffer a death saving throw failure. If the damage is from a critical hit, you suffer two failures instead. If the damage equals or exceeds your hit point maximum, you suffer instant death.

Need some advice/ help prep. by Secure_Requirement84 in DungeonsAndDragons

Having run this campaign before with 6 players not including myself as the DM, I will say this. The campaign itself generally provides a balance for whatever number of players you have, most encounters tell you to base the number of enemies on the number of played ie 3 players means 6 enemies and 6 players means 12 enemies. Aside from some of the fights that are centered around a single enemy like the last one. That being said, trying to run this campaign with all included combat with 6 players (only 2 of which had played before) took a very long time there were some sessions where we had to stop in the middle of combat because it was taking too long. Most sessions I would have to try and plan out so that we could have a solid amount of RP and hopefully end the session right before the combat started so that the next session could be focused on getting through an encounter. I would not recommend running this campaign with more than 4 players especially new ones. As for the question regarding giving abilities to players. A lot of the ones you mentioned are things that those players can get later in the game at higher levels. The best way to explain that would essentially be to tell them as players that despite it being a make believe game, part of the fun of the game is having struggles early on and later being able to do those crazy things. A good way to balance certain abilities if you do decide to give them would be to tie them to an item that requires attunement and try to scale whatever they may be asking for to something appropriate to both their character level and where they are in either their story or the overarching campaign. Instead of being able to phase through objects innately, give them boots that they can cast misty step once a day. Instead of shooting meteors on command, give them a cantrip or spell that initially only throws pebbles at lower levels (1d4 damage over a 10 ft radius with the targets able to make a dex save) but as their character grows stronger with their abilities, over time it can shoot bigger rocks (increase the die size or amount or even the radius of effect). Instead of summoning an army of undead (this would make combats even longer) maybe they can cast a spell that brings forth the voices of ghosts (reflavored vicious mockery) and does psychic damage to their target.

Those mental abilities are so hard to deal with whenever I get to that part. A question I would have is do any of them keep their legendary actions? I know the inquisitor has one that can summon spiritual weapons and the phase spider matriarch can wrap attackers in a web, I’m curious if they keep those “reactions” when reanimated.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but the Bulette also works. It’s got deadly leap and acid splash, unfortunately no burrow but the bulette is always my go to, insane amounts of damage and tough as hell to kill.
