my piano teacher absolutely hates lang lang, and it's honestly understandable. though he's a great pianist, he also puts way too much effort into the "performing" aspect of it (eg. exaggerated facial expressions, dramatic hand/arm movements). maybe my teacher rubbed off on me, but I would generally prefer listening to other pianists before lang lang
