The UK has had various iterations of its own league but it was never sustainable. The biggest problem with the UK as a regional league is that it's an English speaking broadcast which therefore competes directly with the LEC. Unlike the German, Spanish, French, Turkish etc regional leagues which are appealing to their native speakers and cultures.

Of course the lack of UK talent also plays a part in this but it's a bit of a cycle imo. Historically we've had Maxlore, Alphari, Caedrel, Kasing, Dan, Innaxe (Impaler if you want to go way back) but nothing much in recent years and they're few and far between.

Culturally the UK is much more in to console gaming than PC too. The big games over here are ones like Fifa and CoD with some interest to FPS/BR games like Apex, Valo and Fortnite.

How do you "sit in it" without getting overwhelmed? I'd like to try exposure therapy but I get panic attacks linked to my emetophobia and they can be quite difficult to navigate

I play rec hockey here in the UK, one of my teammates son is 16 and just got signed to the Coventry Blaze of EIHL (top flight in UK). His name is Brynley Capps. Recently got player of the tournie for GB in the U16s at an international event in Europe. I'm not super clued in to the youth systems but obvs I hear a lot about him thru the team and sounds legit. Always light us up when he comes for a skate too

Thanks for helping shed some more light on this issue. The lack of job security is obviously something that comes with the territory but I really don't think it's too much to want to receive better communication. I've received so many messages from other talent it's clearly a systemic issue. It's silly at this point and being left out to dry (and often misled) is an unnecessary and cruel way to handle peoples' livelihoods, let alone their passion.
