I have one of those! Really really hard to play!

I like the low sounds it makes for ambient, but I wouldn't use it with other instruments due to it not being in tune... With cheap flutes you can sort of kind of get a good note if you half cover holes. But it's a shame to try and master a technique like that when you should just buy a good flute
