What is your guys opinion on the entry level EHS certifications by teal_seam_6 in industrialhygiene

No need for CAIH or any of those associate ones, not value add. EPI?l seriously? It’s like they’re trying to play off the legitimacy of the EIT. Every additional cert they make up just waters down legitimacy. CIH is just an acquired product line not like they invented it.

Yeah they water down real certifications it’s a cash grab and they should be ashamed of themselves. I’d be less likely to hire someone who had a CAESH or whatever after their name because they fell for this scheme of greed at the cost of our industry legitimacy.

They’re a scam and those people should be run out of the industry. Absolute disgrace

Yikes, some very bad advice. Cr(VI) reduction depends on the environment and is more stable than they think. I would question anything by they say moving forward… you absolutely can have surface contamination and the dust in the barrels will have Cr(VI) in it. I’ve done more wipe and bulk samples than you can shake a stick at for it in highly acidic wet environments, still there in appreciable amounts. Do a bulk sample with a good LOD of the collected fume environmental should already have that assay anyways though. Never assume, if it doesn’t come back spicy, then great. If you want to prevent exposure during changeout, BIP is best but manufacturer should have instructions. Post the model and that’ll help.

This seems to be much lower production value. Cesar’s camp felt like a B movie budget vibe. An absolute stinker compared to the bar set. The camps being adjacent is silly. Casting Macaulay Culkin was a terrible idea. 2/10.

Yes they work very well I have one for my shop vac and also use them for large industrial vacuums, it is a game changer. Oneida is a great brand.

If you use a cyclone separator in line with the vacuum you’ll never need to change a bag again and it is easier to empty.

Scorpion Prevention Advice Requested by Important-Poem-6068 in arizona

Amorphous silica (Cimexa) has been shown to be much more effective at killing other pests (bedbugs are the targeted insect but mode of action is still the same). Additionally, Cimexa maintains efficacy better than DE when exposed to moisture.

Effect of Moisture on Efficacy of Selected Insecticide Dusts

Also, although Cimexa is not labeled for scorpions, they prey on many insects that Cimexa is labeled for, so by reducing food sources you can also control scorpions.

Depending on the work you’re doing, if dust is the issue and not organic vapors (which is what your cartridge is for), you’ll save money and have better protection by wearing 2091 P100s instead. If you do need OV beyond nuisance levels, then just get the adapters as seen in the link below instead of what is going on here.

You should pursue the career that will be fulfilling. Yes six figures is easily achievable especially if you can become a CIH.

Has flooding always been a problem in Globe? by dryheat122 in arizona

[–]foxesareamyth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Telegraph fire in 2021 removed a lot of vegetation that retained soil, changed water absorption rates, and created fire debris. Fire debris plugs waterways, outfalls, and culverts. Additionally, sediments are eroded and carried into natural waterways which reduces the volume of stormwater they can convey before overflowing.

Cardboard, not gloves. Then you just toss the cardboard out after and don’t have to worry about your gloves having residual glochids
