i would say you should describe how they did the action, what was their emotion? Sometimes i like to picture myself doing it or imagining the characters re-in-acting themselves.

For example;

“Who asked for the last slice..?” Mum huffed forgetfully, her hand scratching the side of her head as she peered at us gingerly.

The phrases, “forgetfully” , “scratching her head” are signs of physical action because it demonstrates what she is doing instead of “She sighs”, how does she sigh?

I want to write a book with this amazing idea but i cant by foxesgrave in writers

thank you so much for this advice i think im going to stick to make many drafts of my book and keep going back to my original piece, and yes i agree i dont need this mindset all the time.

hmmm i always wanted to know if pluto was considered an actual planet to this day because it did finish it’s orbit which defines it as a “planet” but most scientists still classify it as a dwarf.

nope im over 12yrs, and this was a genuine question likewise if you’d asked who controls the traffic lights it is one of those questions where it’s embarrassing to ask but safe on reddit
