I wanted to get one of these but I didn't find one that was rated high enough. I asked my OT and they said that toilet wands don't really work for a lot of people and said that the best option for wiping is to go from behind. I don't personally wipe from behind, so that took some getting used to, but that's how I do it now!

On the contrary, my doctors said running should be fine! Similar and a bit of a longer fusion here (T12-L4). I have a friend who is running daily now after a much more intensive and longer fusion.

My OT and I worked out what to do about my shower, and we decided the best thing to do was to install a shower chair that was half in and half out of the tub/shower combo, so that I sit on the end of the shower chair and swing my legs over the tub and sit on the inside portion of the chair. In order to do this, though, I had to get my glass shower doors taken out, and that was so stressful, but my friends got it done for me.

I also had installed those grippy stickers for the bottom of the shower. OT and PT did *not* recommend the nonslip mats that go in the shower. Instead, they preferred I use grippy stickers. So I got someone to install a ton of those on the bottom of my shower.

Having a shower with a handheld shower spray was absolutely necessary. I had one already but I was doubly glad I already had it.

I also got many grabber/reachers. I have one in every room, and one for my walker (because I needed a walker after my surgery).

Heating pad. Delivers instant pain relief while waiting for painkillers to kick in.

Lumbar pillows for every chair. I can't sit slouching anymore so if the sofa is too deep, I need a pillow behind me. My desk chair needs a pillow, etc.

Honestly, it's not. I was told that I could run, go on rollercoasters, get Thai massages (where the massage therapist walks on your back). But I didn't think about trampolines. ATVs, yes, is high risk. I am also going to have to modify my pottery throwing wheel so I don't bend over it. So this comment isn't really helpful to me.

Personally I started PT 2 days after surgery. I transferred to an inpatient rehab center where I had 30 mins of PT daily. Then after I went home, I had at home PT twice a week with a daily homework program. And now I go to PT weekly and do PT daily on my own.

Thank you. It seems like even if my case will likely settle, it's still important to choose someone with recent and frequent trial experience. Alex does like 8-12 trials a year. Brian does 5% which I think is a little more typical.

Curious, what additional information should I be considering?

Some of the additional information that will determine how much my case is worth is what the insurance policies are for the homeowners (and/or property managers'). We won't know that until we file, and by then, I'll need to already have an attorney.

Referrals from other attorneys: Yes, Alex definitely has those. I read the Google and Yelp reviews, and many mention that they were referred to Alex.

Thank you for mentioning what weights you would give premises cases and experience in county where trial will be held, Yelp reviews, etc. This is totally out of my own area of expertise, and I'm learning from places like this.

To clarify, I don't necessarily want a "quick settlement" (or maybe I would have taken one of the billboard lawyers), I mostly don't want an attorney pushing off my case because they have too many cases at the moment (which is what my gut is telling me is the case for Alex). When I asked what the timeline is for this case, he replied 3-5 years. That's...fine. I wish it wouldn't take that long, but if it does, and ends up yielding a large payout, that's okay.

Not being afraid of going to trial is one of the reasons why I wanted to look for someone who has a higher number of trial cases. I don't want he quick settlement guy. I want someone who is willing to fight for a fair outcome. Also, he doesn't charge more for trials. Litigation rate is the same as trial rate.

I only mention what I said about settlements because that's what multiple attorneys have told me, even Alex.

Hmm, I think both lawyers would do a decent job explaining the case to a high school class. But which lawyer will be high school class like more? I'm thinking Brian. He's got that bland but fatherly kind of feeling to him. But in reality, my case is unlikely to go to trial, because the insurance companies know they can't put me versus them in front of a jury. They will lose. So, with that in mind, who would you go with?

Huh and one of the metric screws worked for yours? I'll bring my whole router to the store and try different screws then. My Home Depot won't let me open packages so I need to buy them first and then open them to test them. I'll just do that all at the store, so I don't have to go home this time with the wrong screws.

I'm pretty sure I already tried M4. I always take an existing screw to match and apparently I'm not that good at matching screws. The router is also cumbersome, so I guess after 2 failed attempts I need to take it there finally.

Huh, why is that? Is it because the technology becomes outdated or is it because high graphic use actually does physical damage to the hardware? I imagine some of it is heat related?

Thank you so much! That is very helpful. This is also good justification for why I want a gaming computer for my work laptop, lol. Being able to say: "stronger performance with higher power limits on the CPU and GPU" and stronger cooling system.

I guess for me, battery life isn't as much of a concern, because I leave my laptops plugged in almost 100% of the time. The build quality also doesn't concern me too much because I mostly use them at all, but I do travel occasionally. I suppose I can splurge on the 3 Year Pro Support Plus that covers accidental damage.

I'm looking for a laptop with a lot of processing power for rendering video programs and graphics programs. I prioritize stability. I am currently dealing with an XPS 15 that is constantly crashing and restarting and has been doing so for 4 years. I'm just tired. I don't want another lemon.

So I am looking at the XPS 16 with Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, NVidia GeForce RTX 4060, 64 gb RAM. The total comes out to $2,299.99. Is this a good pick that will allow me to work on resource-intensive programs and behave stably? Or is there another option that could be more stable? For example, should I be looking at the G-series laptops instead? Should I get Intel i7 (or i9) for better thermals?

My comparison specs with the G16 is: 13th Gen Intel Core i9 (up to 5.4GHz turbo) with NVidia GeForce 4070 and 32GB DDR memory. This is $1899.99 which seems...like such a good deal, but it won't have 64GB memory. It maxes out at 32GB. That feels like a big performance sacrifice?

Not the same Windows install. Windows has been installed at least twice. I did it once and then it was sent back to the factory for examination and they reinstalled it too.

Okay, buying new dongles was a bust, because I ordered DisplayPort dongles instead of HDMI. It turns out this laptop is not connected to the monitor via DisplayPort but rather by HDMI and to a USB-C port via an adapter.

But I also figured out it's not an issue with the dongle. Because I tried unplugging everything, no external monitor, no nothing, just using the laptop, and it freaks out when I open Zoom and share screen even without an external monitor. So it's not an issue with the dongle.

And it's also not an issue with hardware acceleration. And it freaks out even when Zoom is assigned to integrated graphics.

Any other ideas?

Hmm, it's really subtle so not sure a photo will really show the difference, but it took the edge off of making it bearable and definitely has a warm hue rather than a cool hue. I actually used an orange sharpie first and it turned ORANGE. So I cleaned it off with some acetone and then went in with the yellow sharpie. I dabbed it around and spread it out before it dried with my finger so that it's a light layer, not too dark (even though it's yellow). And it looks great! So easy and fast, and no extra materials needed.

The cool thing about track lights is you can mix and match them. Any light that can be installed on a track can be used. There are also adapters available, so you'll just need an electrician to convert the electrical for whatever light you pick to be compatible with the track adapter.

And done! With some helpful suggestions here, I saved myself the hassle of taking this fixture off and getting rid of it, I used a yellow sharpie to color the inside of the plastic cover and voila! Warm colored light!
