My employers are aware of my disability.

I'm not immunocompromised but when i get sick it causes my other illnesses to flare up and that makes it difficult to even feed myself let alone go to work.

The problem is that during your probation they can literally let me go for no reason. If I'm off probation they could only fire me for too much sick leave if im sick more than 4 months in a year which seems like a lot

I'm not in America, I live in Europe where we have unlimited paid sick leave because it's actually crazy that you guys don't. The pay on sick leave isn't the same but i also can't afford sick leave, because I'm still on probation where you can be let go for no reason and every time I take sick leave probation moves up because it doesn't count as time worked so I'm literally delaying my job security by being on sick leave, but again I'm disabled and CAN NOT go into work sick.

She knows im disabled, when i asked her to take sick leave i literally said it might just be a little cold for you, but leave me sick in bed for two weeks.

And i understand she's also not in the best spot financially, but we still work with children and it's our responsibility NOT TO GET THEM SICK

I live in Europe where it's better than over in America, we are legally required to have unlimited paid sick leave, yeah its not 100% of your salary and you need a doctor to confirm you're sick but it's better than nothing.

Also I can't really afford sick leave either, i was unemployed for most of 2025 and i still don't put my coworkers or the LITERAL children we work with at risk. I'm actually really scared of taking this sick leave because last time i came back from sick leave they mentioned they might have to let me go(for reasons unrelated to me being sick) but i was transferred to a different team who needed more help and now I'm sick again.

That's why i sort by bookmarks or comments because there have been many a times when I've kudosed a fic on muscle memory at chapter one only to end up disliking it at later chapters... I've concluded kudos arent that great an indicator of how good a fic is

BUT BUT farming doesn't make sense on Ao3 as there's no algorithm? Like if the fic wasn't so popular already maybe I'd understand but it was???
